well, for myself, I actually had to favor the original, & I have my own reasons.

JTPH 2? Way too much J/C for my tastes thank you, not to mention the Timmy/Cindy pairing didn't exactly hit it off for me either, but I guess it's alright, though the reason I don't support it off-hand, is cause of the "coming from two completely different dimensions" thing.

# 3 was, like most fans think, not exactly the best idea.

Although I liked the idea of there not being all that many J/C hints (like it's overbearing in the regular series), I still didn't like how either boy was treating his friends, or that the last memory we have of Jimmy himself is that "loopy Jimmy" version, without his Genius intact.

Not to mention Timmy, ugh, it was like Fairy Idol never happened in the first place! Same goes for Cosmo, he was still as jerky as ever with Wanda, so that didn't bode well here.

& I almost fell off my seat in complete shock when I found it was Jimmy who gave the villian his name (I mean really, "Shirley"?? Jeez!) I was SO sure it was either Timmy or Cosmo giving him that name, but like I said, utter shock when Jimmy was the one to name him. :o

Anyway, number 1 was my favorite, as it stayed true to BOTH shows, an interesting, but unstable pairing was hinted on, & I nearly cracked up laughing at the whole "small-headed Jimmy" deal with Sheen & Carl.

--------------

Only kicks I got out of two & three were seeing the JN characters in Fairly OddParents drawing style, it's a shame that I couldn't see Betty Quinlan or Nick Dean in 2.5-D though, that would've been nice. :( ;)

Haha, I liked the 3rd one personally. While I didn't like the fact that everyone seemed out of character several times, and the humor was clearly patent FOP, it still managed to crack me up. I mean..."He's a villain and a genius...just like Dr. Phil!" Honestly, how can you NOT find that funny?

Oh that's right, I forgot about the Dr. Phil joke when I first posted at the time, but yeah, I can totally see why so many people like that, hilarious!

But on JTPH 2, the "out of character" thing on JN's part just, ticked me off way too much.

For one, although the plot would be ruined, would you EVER hear or see Jimmy fighting over anyone for Cindy in the regular series? Don't think so.

In fact, although he might not have had the nerve to, (since he gets "goo goo eyed" every time he sees her), I'd imangine Jimmy'd try to ask Betty Quinlan to that dance, but why Cindy? She's been nothing short of a stubborn little creep to him, so why should he care anything for her?

Btw, I've also seen every JN episode, regular, TV movie, & crossovers, so don't bother throwing things like Stranded to me, I still say Jimmy's one true love is Betty, you don't have to have a ton of adventures with each other to be happy with marrying each other later on. ;)

(not pointed toward anyone, just saying in general)

True, Shirley was really funny in the 3rd one. I'll have to go with JTPH2 though. I'm a sucker for J/C stuff.

I guess I'd have to go with the orginal as well. I actually do like Jimmy/Cindy, I guess just in small doses. The first of the three just seemed more original and amusing, and less romance focused. Plus it seemed to have elements of both Jimmy Nuetron and Fairly Oddparents in it, while the other two seemed to be mainly dominated by FOP humor.

I've only seen the 2nd and 3rd once though, so... who knows. Maybe I'll like them better the second time around. :P

I noticed this too. I think the FOP writers did most of the scripting for these 2 episodes...that's why some of the JN gang seemed out of character.

I guess I'd have to go with the orginal as well. I actually do like Jimmy/Cindy, I guess just in small doses.

Well, if the show had used the same hinting pattern for J/C in the last two seasons like they did with the first one, then I might not have been so "turned off" by the couple, but once they aired Stranded, then heh, count me out of it.

Not to mention FF.Net just kills me with it's extreme overload of J/C fluff fics, it's just not my type of pairing.

But if J/B had been more balanced out with J/C, (kinda like the Tootie/Timmy/Trixie triangle is in FOP) then I might've been more inclined to like it better.

Like I do with Jimmy/April & Timmy/Cindy, I like both of these pairings, & I support them to a point, (like 50 - 70%) but Jimmy/Betty and Nick/Cindy are my primary fave couples, that I support whole heartedly.

Just that everyone's gotten so obessive with Jimmy/Cindy that I can't bring myself to like it, not even remotely. (no offense to anyone though!! :()

It's like NO one goes for the "non-traditional" pairings if they involve Jimmy or Cindy, that's why I like Jimmy/Betty, it's just so.. unquie & easy to enjoy, not to mention you'd be able to think of a TON of different ideas for any fanfics with it, but with Jimmy/Cindy, everything's all been used up! :(

But no offense, really! I'm just calmly trying to state my opinons without ticking anyone off, please don't hate me just cause I don't like J/C, I really think it's a good pairing, it just gets to me for being there so MUCH. Otherwise I'd probably even support it a little. :(

Hehe, don't worry. I don't think anyone's going to hate you just because you're sick of J/C and support a lesser known pairing. If anyone does hate you for that, then they're obviously an obsessive dumbass and you shouldn't pay attention to anything they say. Different opinions and ideas are what make the world go 'round. *starts singing Different Strokes*

As for me, I guess the reason I go for J/C is that... I'm just not that creative. X) I don't really make it a point of mine to break the shipping mold, so to speak. I'm fine with being mainstream in that respect. Plus I don't read fanfiction, which seems to have had a reasonably big impact on your opinion of the pairing, and I've seen little JN fanart that I even like. And... *coughIlikeStrandedcough* And I guess I just sort of role my eyes at the episodes that I think are overly mushy. They don't bother me that much.

As for Betty... I guess I just never got attatched to her character. I guess I didn't find out much about her from the few times she appeared in the show. But you know what? I think it's awesome that you support J/B, and that you see the relationships in a way that most people don't. More power to ya, girlfriend. :)

*Cause it takes dif'rent strokes to move the world!* X3

Thanks so much for this comment, I'm glad to know that you've nothing against J/B, just as I have absolutely nothing against J/C, it's just the whole "everyone's gotten so obessive about it that it drives me nuts" thing that really gets to me. But I respect everyone's descions whole heartedly, I just wish there were at least a couple true-blue J/B-ers around & not all J/C-ers, but hey, I'm not complaining, I'm just saying I'd rather have the fanbase more well rounded like those in the Timmy fanbase are.

Yes, Timmy/Tootie easily dominates most places, but at least Timmy/Trixie fans can stick their heads in & not get screamed at like heck just cause they don't like Timmy/Tootie. ;)

Well by all means, I'm perfectly alright with your decsion, & I'm actually glad you don't read much JN fics on FF.net, cause heh, if you don't go for "overly mushy" J/C in every episode, then I gotta say that FF.net is one of those places, hands down.

Don't get me wrong, J/C is perfectly alright, it's just that hardly anyone gives other "non-mainstream" shippers room to breath, especially those at FF.net, I've yet to see one single "non-J/C" fic over there. Ya'know, something that actually LETS another couple involving Jimmy or Cindy happen?

Well alright, I think there might be a few Carl/Cindy fics, but ONLY in AU ones, not the actual cartoon. But I've yet to read any of these as I fear this is only a "almost, but didn't happen" pairing, so that J/C can happen. :(

As for Betty... I guess I just never got attatched to her character. I guess I didn't find out much about her from the few times she appeared in the show. But you know what? I think it's awesome that you support J/B, and that you see the relationships in a way that most people don't. More power to ya, girlfriend. :)

Well that's no problem with me, & I honestly dunno that much about her myself, but I still just adore her character nonetheless. :)

In fact, all I know for sure about her is that she lives in a "not too "ritzy," but still "ritzy" house/neighborhood".

She's generally good-natured, never wanting to start any fights with anyone, but Cindy's ticked her off once before. "Vanishing Act".

& according to "Attack of the Twonkies", Betty seems to like singing as a hobby, 'cause we see her in the school choir group Cindy is warning about the Twonky situation.

& this last bit is on my own opinion, but she may also have her own crush on Jimmy, she just keeps it hid till Cindy goofs J/C's relationship up, but Betty's still ALWAYS nice to Jimmy, one of the things I like best about Betty. ^_^

Was this a J/T Power Hour thread when it started?? XD Look where my rambling takes us....

Lol, yeah, your right, it was, but I don't mind getting a LITTLE off-tpoic, just so long as it doesn't get anyone in trouble. ;)

-----------

Either way, thank again for your comment, it even helped to brighten my day a bit too with all this J/C-ness around, thanks! ^_^ B)

One notice in JTPH III-Nick and Betty were absent from the show.

Exactly: I HATED That!! I'd just LOVE to see both Betty AND Nick in FOP format, because while I couldn't possibly hope to draw JN style as we see it in the show, I CAN trace FOP characters pretty good, & if I saw Betty and Nick in FOP format, then I could probably try drawing a lot of nice little N/C & J/B fan-arts, but in FOP style.

& I can already do Sheen/Libby like that, I just haven't gotten around to buying a scanner yet is all. ;)

Another one I noticed: Elke Ekberg wasn't there either!! :( I'd be doing a few C/E fan-arts if I knew her official FOP drawing style! :(

---------------------------------

Well, although it's not an official version of her, my friend on the Butch Hartman forums, Amras Felagund, after we discussed J/B a little, (yep, he's a fan too, not so much the series as the couple, but he still watches JN some, I think) he tried drawing his own version of Betty on his paint program, so I thought I'd share this one with you guys. ^_^

http://i36.photobuck...ttyFOPstyle.png

I saved it to my PhotoBucket.com account, but the FOP image is © soley to Amras on the BH forums, but the screenshot of Betty belongs to DNA productions. :)

-------------------

So I might attempt a few traces of J/B fan-art (using this pic of Betty & some screenshots of Jimmy in the FOP universe) sometime soon, but you guys might not see them for awhile: least not till I get a new scanner.

-----------

Here's the thing, I can trace pretty good on paper, but coloring in the pics I can do pretty well on Paint myself, but it takes some time & a lot of patience.

So if I'm lucky enough to be able to get a scanner comes first of the month, & provided I have enough time by myself at our house, I might be able to do a few fan-arts featuring J/B.

No Nick FOP styles yet, but who knows? Maybe somebody'd try to if we got lucky. :)

Exactly! I DID love how Mr. Hartman designed the FOP styles of Hugh & Judy, along with all others I've seen in the latter two JTPHs, but a REAL thrill for me would've been seeing Nick &/or Betty in their official FOP styles!

What? Is Butch Hartman against Nick and Betty or something? I didn't really understand why these two couldn't show up.

Same goes for Elke while we're on that deal. I loved Carl Wheezer, Boy Genius, & apparently a LOT of other people do as well, so why couldn't she have shown up?? ;) :(

A particular problem I had with Jimmy/Timmy III is that "Dumb Jimmy" was not following continuity... that is, in some moments, he would be extremely stupid, and yet in other moments, he would still have basic logic and knowledge. With Jimmy/Timmy II, the idea of the two battling for Cindy wasn't really much of a nice subplot, although I must say I did enjoy the main plot of the anti-fairies taking over Timmy's universe and Jorgen-Calamitous destroying Jimmy's universe to create a new one in their own image.

Other than that, they were all very good. ^_^

You captured my feelings for these TV movies word for word! ^_^

Dumb/Loopy Jimmy in "Normal Boy" stayed stupid throughout the entire episode during the time his brain was drained.

But in Jimmy/Timmy III, he, as you said, had those original moments, where he couldn't give you the right answer to a math or science question if he had to, but other times he showed basic understanding of what was going on around him, like Cosmo does occasionally.

So that's the major flaw I found annoying with # 3, Jimmy/Timmy II, well, you know my feelings regarding that. -_-

Jimmy/Timmy 1 was undoubtedly the best of the series, & lucky me, I've got it saved on my computer!! ^_^

I'd say I like the third one best, if only because I found it funniest. To be perfectly honest, I really don't care for any of the Jimmy/Timmy crossovers. The whole premise they use for getting those two cartoon worlds together seems very contrived to me.
