I just finished A Box Full of Matches, by Nicholson Baker. I HIGHLY recommend it to ALL of you. It is recommended for MATURE TEENS, And, YOUNG ADULTS, not because the book is rude, profane, explicit, or vulgar, BUT, because, ANYONE else will NOT find it amusing, but, rather, BORING!

I finished Matched while I was on the train. My sister lied. The end was fabulous. And I can't wait for the sequel

I finished Questors last night. It was...a bit of a disappointment. :( There's one character, Cam, who is neither a boy nor a girl. It is implied at the end that it chooses a gender, but I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME work out which one it is. Maybe I'm just stupid. :P And quite aside from that, there are a few other quibbles. The book is divided into three sections, ascending in quality. (The last section was fantastic.) But the very end felt...rushed. And the bad guy's motivations seemed very foggy.

I recommend The Seventh Tide (also by Joan Lennon), but this one really wasn't great. :(

the last book I read was The Devil All the Time by Donald Ray, for me this is the best book of 2011. it's set in southern Ohio and West Virginia around the end of WW2 and the early 1960's, and it fallows a group of sick, twisted and bizarre killers, first we have Willard Russell who try's to save his wife from death by cancer by sacrificial blood, then there is there son Eugene Russell who grows up to be a good but he's also a violent man in his own right, there is also Carl and Sandy Henderson two serial killers couple who go after the young to photograph theme and exterminate theme, finally we have spider-handling preacher Roy and his crippled guitar playing sidekick, Theodore running from the low and killing anyone in there path.

this book is full of violence, sin, deep emotions and a great story telling that well leave a great impact on the reader.

For some reason, I've taken quite a knack to general knowledge books. Oh, and fanfiction. I found this author, and I daresay she isthe most hilarious writer I've come across (and quite literal).

I just read Poison Study by Maria Snyder. It's the first novel in a fantasy series and is about this chick who's a convicted murderer and must now become the food tester for the commanding officer of her country. Action, mystery, bit of romance...that sort of thing. It was pretty good, actually. I wasn't expecting a lot out of it - it was recommended to me by a friend who's way into teen romance stuff, so I was worried what the book would actually be about, but it turned out to be much more about the mystery and action than any romance-y things. I'd definitely recommend it if you're into fantasy and strong female characters.
