But what do we do now?  I mean, he could've gone anywhere to cause any sorta trouble...

 

I don't know, personally, but what I do know is that we need to stay out of his way as much as possible...  He gives me the creeps...

 

I think we've already established that, Carl, but yeah, he kinda does me, too, now that I think of it...

 

Don't you have any way of tracking him, Neutron?  He could go anywhere and do anything...

 

Fortunately, I do.  His watch gives off a unique tracking signal, so I could easily tap into that.  He never takes it off, much like me, which is a huge advantage for that... *starts typing away at his keyboard in order to locate his evil clone*

 

*thinks* This is gonna get boring real fast, I can tell... *takes a seat on the floor where he is and tries to patiently wait for Jimmy to finish*

 

Wow, I'm impressed, Sheen.  That's gonna take a lot of willpower to sit and wait like that, at least for you... *sits next to him and pats him on the back supportively* I hope I don't get too bored outta my wits, either...

Yeah, it's got me really concerned for everyone's safety...  With him having the same brainpower as me, he could come up with any kind of germ that could do something really deadly to people...  Oh, my god...  This has me so worried now, puking Pluto...! *starts to panic a little, but tries to control his breathing*

Jimmy: *hits the button and ejects them out, still trying to breathe deeply to calm his nerves, then rests his elbows on the edge of his keyboard and lays his forehead in his hands* Ugh...  What am I gonna DO...??

 

Cindy: *peeks around the corner at him, thinks* Aww, poor guy...  He's never dealt with this kinda situation before; he feels so overwhelmed...  I feel so bad for him, and I think I should help him... *feels her eyes water a little and rubs them, sniffling a bit*

 

Jimmy: *hears that* W-wait, I thought I ejected everyone from my lab except G-Goddard...  Cindy, i-is that you? *rubs his eyes a bit, too*

*whimpers a bit and settles down, then walks up to him, extends his neck to reach him, and licks his arm a bit*

Yeah, it's me, Jimmy...  I couldn't help but notice how depressed you're feeling right now... *walks over to him and places her hand on his shoulder* I'm so sorry your clone had to go and plan something you've never dealt with before...

Now, hold on, Jimmy...  You're jumping to conclusions here...  You'll need to find out what his plot is to begin with, ya know?  And I know you know how to do that...  It's gonna be alright; I realize you're stressed, and that's okay...  You just need some help with this, that's all... *hugs him sweetly* It's okay to let out your emotions; you don't need to try and be tough and hide them...

*nods and motions with his head over to his lounge area he'd made for his lab in the tenth grade* P-please...

 

Cindy: Okay, that's fine. *heads over there with him and takes a seat on his couch* You're right, this is more comfortable...

 

Jimmy: Y-yeah... *snuggles up to her, still softly crying* S-sorry you h-had to s-see m-me like th-this...

 

Cindy: *snuggles with him, too* Hey, it's okay.  We all have days like this; heck, even I do...

 

Jimmy: Um, y-you do?? *wipes his eyes*

 

Cindy: Yeah, you have no idea...  It's because I live such a pressured life, thanks to my mom... *sighs heavily*

 

Jimmy: B-but how does sh-she put p-pressure on you??

 

Cindy: She always expects me to be the best at everything I do, and isn't satisfied with just ordinary or second best...  I mean, I realize she loves me, but she sure has an odd way of showing it...  Maybe she's just not sure how to be more like your mom, ya know, empathetic and caring...  I wish she was, though...  Ugh...

 

Jimmy: Wow, Cindy, I h-had no idea a-about that...  I'm s-sorry she treats y-you that way...

 

Cindy: Yeah, thanks...  It's just so hard to live up to her expectations sometimes... *feels her eyes watering a little*

 

Jimmy: I c-can imagine...  With me, aside from my p-parents, everyone always expects me to w-wow them with some kind of e-experiment or invention...  And it's s-so frustrating when things don't work r-right, not being able to live up to th-their expectations, either...  So in a way, I know h-how you feel...

 

Cindy: Aww, that so sweet...  *sighs a bit shakily* I just wish my mom t-treated me more like your parents treat y-you... *wipes her eyes*

 

Jimmy: Life is just so h-hard sometimes, isn't it? *holds her close* Sorry she gets you so upset sometimes...

It's alright, Cindy, just let it all out... *hugs her back and rubs her back affectionately* Does Libby know about this, even?

 

*can't really speak from crying, just shakes her head no*

 

Wow, I would've thought that she did, since you two are such good friends... Do you think she should?

Yeah, she sure does...  There's much more to raising a kid than just discipline, achievements, and academics...  A child needs to be nurtured and loved, as well... *gives her a brief kiss on the cheek* Those are definitely some things that my mom could teach your mom to be better at...

 

B-but how, a-and when?? *tries to take some deep breaths to calm herself down, then blushes a little upon realizing what he just did* Oh, u-uh, thanks...

 

Jimmy: Um, no problem... *laughs bashfully, then clears his throat a bit* Anyway, I'm not really sure if or when that could happen, but if it does, then it's only a matter of time, and I'm sure my mom would know just how to handle the situation...

 

Cindy: I h-hope it d-does happen, c-cuz she really n-needs help in th-that respect...  Ugh... *pauses as she gradually calms down* Also, thanks f-for comforting me...  I really n-needed it...  You are such a s-sweet guy...

 

Jimmy: Aww, thanks, Cindy.  You were also very sweet to comfort me, too, so, um, thanks for that... *snuggles with her*

 

Cindy: *snuggles with him, too, as she finally calms down completely* It was my pleasure, Jimmy.  You looked like you needed it...

 

Jimmy: Yeah, I sure did.... *soon realizes how warm it's getting* Leapin' leptons...!  Whew...! *wipes his forehead with the back of his hand* Is it just me, or has the temperature gone up considerably in the vicinity?

I know, right?  I'd invite you to swim in my pool, but I have a reputation to protect, ya know? *laughs sheepishly*

 

Well, yeah... *pauses for a bit* Wait just a nanosecond...  I thought things like keeping up your reputation and being pressured by your mom got you so stressed out...

 

Oh, drat...  Well, ya got me there, Jimmy... *sighs* Alright, I guess you can come over if you'd like...

 

Okay, cool.  We could use a good cool down...  Let's get outside, then... *teleports them both back outside with Goddard*

Perhaps because it's an enclosed area, and there's not much air circulation...  If that's the case, you should find a remedy for that soon...

You're right; there's no telling what that creep will do...  But I'm not going to let that ruin my day...  I plan to spend at least part of my day swimming, since it's so hot out.  Yeah, I know it's at Cindy's place, but admittedly, she can be pretty attractive... *looks around cautiously as he heads inside with him* Um, don't tell anyone I said that...

 

*follows close behind him up to his room, displays: "Whatever you say, master...  Here we go again..."*

 

*shuts his bedroom door behind him* Besides, I'm kinda wanting her to see my new swimsuit I got just last week... *blushes a little as he changes into it and some sandals* I wonder if she's gotten a new one recently, too...

 

*cocks his head with a curious whine, displays: "Only one way to find out..."*

Suddenly he hears an alarm coming from his lab.

(FINALLY inspired to post more here!  Darn writer's block! Anyway, here we go! )

 

What the-?!  That can't be good!  Goddard, access VOX, please!

 

Bark! *accesses VOX and displays what's on its screen on his own*

 

Gas planet, our local top secret biological pathogen testing facility's computer's have been hacked, and my clone has begun work on a brand new, unknown virus!  This is definitely not good...!  I'm not sure how he intends to spread this virus, but we need to take whatever precautions are necessary...! Good thing I have ventilation masks for me and my friends to use, built to keep out any pathogen!  Virus, bacteria, parasitical protists, fungal spores, you name it!  Plus, it's waterproof and functions also as an underwater rebreather which we can communicate perfectly through... *goes and retrieves them from a hidden compartment in his room inside the wall, then puts them in his hypercube for later access, soon facing Goddard* C'mon, boy, we have to distribute these to our friends, stat!

 

*growls a bit and barks in agreement, following him outside, heading to Cindy's place first*

 

*soon sees him hurrying up to her backyard from across the street, having already changed into her swimsuit* Um, Jimmy?  You look anxious, and why aren't you wearing a swimsuit?  What's the big rush??

 

*hurries up to her with Goddard* I'll explain later; right now, you and I need to take precautions and protect ourselves...! *takes one of the ventilation masks out of his hypercube and hands it to her*

 

Neutron, what's going on here?? *warily takes it from him* Why do we need these?

 

Like I said, I'll explain later, but I will say that our health, and perhaps our lives, may be on the line if we don't use them...  We need to get some to Libby, Sheen, and Carl, too, as I only have five of these altogether... *takes another one out of his hypercube and puts it on* Hurry and put it on...!
