I thought I'd make a topic for all my fan fiction since I think I'm going through a JN obsession again and will probably be writing a bunch of new stuff. Plus, FF.net's JN section is dead!!

Plugging my first full length JN fanfic. It's 21k and 11 chapters and took me approximately a month. I would appreciate any feedback you guys have even though I know you guys have all probably moved on in a sense from JN. This is another "JN heavy" year for me...as I hadn't watched the show or read/written fan fiction for it for a few years in between when I wasn't active on IDOJ either. But my obsession has come back, which obviously means channeling my inner fandom squealing into writing  :wub2:

I've started a collection of one-shots based on songs from Florence & The Machine's album, Ceremonials. Each chapter will focus on one song. I'm thinking this might be my last JN project for a while, but it's still in progress--as of now it has 3 chapters.

 

If the style seems kind of odd/formal for JN, I'm trying out some of my poetry skills on fan-fiction  B)

Yay! I'm so glad. 

 

I've probably written close to 15k of JN fic the last few weeks alone but somehow can't manage to work on my final dissertation chapter, lol.

I keep an eye on the JN section of FF, and it's not totally dead. Someone uploads or updates something at least a few times a month... ;)

I stopped using FF.net because of all the bots leaving comments, and also because the few people still active there (other than a couple friends who also cross post to Ao3) are kind of annoying. 

 

Re: time, who knows, lol. I find that writing fanfic is a good way to relax when I'm stressed about research or want to procrastinate grading. 

 

That being said, it is kind of crazy that I wrote all this in a year when I also finished my 187p dissertation lmao
