There's this hilarious post on tumblr where a fan got these and took a picture showing them off, and then suddenly a bunch of comments from non-fans came flooding in about actual gun control, and it turned into a real heated, political debate, and then all the real WTNV fans saw it and were laughing their asses off and going, "OH MY GOD, THIS IS THE BEST! THIS KEEPS HAPPENING!" ROFL

OMG, the live show I attended had an amazing Steve Carlsberg joke. Everyone in the audience was falling over themselves laughing. I won't spoil it for you, though, since you're bound to get the .mp3 version of that show eventually.

It's gonna be weird hearing the live show as a recording though. There was a lot of audience participation that might not translate well into podcast format. You'll just have to close your eyes and pretend you're in the theater. No, not THAT theater. The other theatre. The one that ends in -re, not -er.

I shall try to see it in my mind as best as possible. And if that doesn't work I'll just zap myself back in time, into the theater, the day you were there and experience it with you. It's never worked before, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't try again until it does.

F*ck. Of course episode three ends on a cliffhanger.
I think I'm actually going to like this show. It's got a really strange sense of humor, and the creepiness is actually intriguing. I'd like to hear more about Carlos, though. He was so prominent in the first episode. All that's happened with him since then is he's gotten his perfect hair cut.

I'm guessing some of the fanart would have spoilers. And as I'm only at the beginning, I'll be able to satisfy any cliffhangers by just going to the next episode. At least for a while.
But I am slightly disappointed that there was absolutely no conclusion to what happened with station management, or why they opened their office door. I listened to episode four and it was like it never even happened.

Don't expect a linear progression from episode to episode. Sometimes stuff mentioned in an ep comes back a half dozen episodes later. Sometimes it disappears into the ether for an entire season, only to reappear after you've forgotten about it.

Exactly. There are several things they still have us waiting for answers on (*coughepisode37cough*), but that's just what makes you keep coming back to more.
The show's format takes a bit of time to get used to, at least for some people. I remember when I first started I was like, "Wait. I don't get it. Why aren't they actually saying the weather?"

Also a lot of the stuff that's very "weird" and dramatic to us is considered normal or no big deal to the characters in the show, so they're not always going to treat everything as something to bring up and deal with later. They'll often just brush it off and let it go. Some things are important and come back and some things don't.

Good point, Athena. To add onto it: sometimes there WILL be explanations, but they'll follow Night Vale "logic" (so you'll end up with answers like 2+2=fish). You just have to train yourself to be like, "of course 2+2=fish! Everyone knows that!"
I don't know about you, but allowing myself to accept Night Vale's bizarre rules of causality is one of my favorite aspects of being a fan. It's so...weirdly liberating.
