I don't know whether I needed to create a new topic for this... but I didn't know were else to say it. (If there is somewhere, please feel free to point me there and remove this topic).

I just wanted to express my love for the greatness that is Jimmy Neutron! This was probably the first show I truly loved (I didn't watch much TV as a kid).
I remember when the trailers for the movie first came out... I thought they looked cute, and interesting. But I wasn't interested enough to actually go see it in the theater.
I did rent it out of curiosity when it came out on DVD... and BOY do I not regret it! As soon as Hugh appeared, I knew I was going to LOVE this movie! I instantly became attached to the characters, the world, and the humour.

When I heard there was a TV show, I tried to catch every episode I could... which actually wasn't much. It was when I rented the Confusion Fusion DVD that I really became invested in the show. I then bought the movie, and every other DVD that came out, as I was loving the show so much, and I didn't want to miss anything.

Naturally, I was pissed when the show was cancelled. I would have loved it if it had gone longer. However, what it gave us was simply awesome! Now, I'm just grateful it happened.

Nothing has stuck with me for as long as JN. I have slipped out of the Jimmy Neutron "phase" a couple times since then... but somehow it never truly left me.
There have been other things since then that have stuck with me (*coughHarryPottercough*), some of which may be technically better, but JN was the first, so it will always hold a special place in my heart.

Even now, at 22, I still love this show. The characters, the interactions, the relationships, the humour, the atmosphere, the light-heartedness (especially for something with so much conflict...) It's all just irresistable.
Jimmy Neutron has stayed with me for 10 years, and I'm sure it will stay with me for 10 more.

Anyway... What are your Jimmy Neutron stories?

Jimmy Neutron was my absolute favorite show from my pre-teeny years.
I eventually got internet and started to go on nick.com and look at a lot of the JN stuff on there(e.g. the JN fanfiction).
There I became addicted to many fanfics; the one I latched to the most was, of course, TOSOT.
I found a link under one of the chaptors of TOSOT for, what do ya know? idreamofjimmy.com.
I clicked the link, signed up quickly before going to school that morning.
(I soon discovered that I misspelled Aurora LOL. So my username on IDOJ was Cindy_Auora.)
I followed TOSOT and chatted with members and such.
April 1, 2007 I met my best friend in the whole world. <3 (which was the day I joined, I believe)
Since then we've had our ups-and-downs, but mostly ups and I can confide in her with anything(I hope she can too. =P)

I love Jimmy Neutron and always will because I have met some of the most amazing people in the entire world through this show and this site.

Also, I plan on becoming a writer(going to the University of Tennessee Chattanooga in the fall13) for Creative Writing.
Writing is a big part of my life, of course.
Without reading the many fanfics I had or roleplaying characters and writing down plots through THIS show, I would have never tasted the reality of being a writer. This show is what got my jumpstart on what I would do for the rest of my life.

I love Jimmy Neutron to no end for what it has given me. C:

I'm almost positive that there's another topic just like this somewhere on the forums...I'll try to find it and merge them later, but in the meantime, I'd just like to say that I wouldn't have a job right now if not for JN. I only learned Photoshop and Opencanvas and graphic art in general because I wanted to illustrate TOSOT. And as it turns out, my hobby has proved far more useful than my actual degree

And some say geekiness never pays off.

P.S. I still have the ticket stub from back when I saw the original movie in theaters when I was 9. I figured that since I wouldn't be on IDOJ if it weren't for that time, its something worth saving in my wallet. ;)

Needless to say, I was too into SpongeBob back then and the thought to go see the movie in theaters never even crossed my mind. But hey, at least I have the DVD! ^_^

I really don't think I was ever THAT into Jimmy Neutron until I found this site.

When it was on, I would watch it and like it, but I think I was more into Fairly OddParents and SpongeBob at the time. Then I noticed it wasn't on anymore and decided to watch all of the episodes online...

I found this place, watched them, liked (no wait, loved) them and got onto the forums.

@Pigquet ...seriously? Wow. That is cool, obsessive, and inspiring all at the same time.

I was for ages searching the series (take about two years and maybe three years exploring enormous amounts of cartoons... but JN was always the one that stuck out on me... It was something that I found out only when you are an adult.)

I REALLY got into the series and fic when I found idreamofjimmy.com and the forums.

*looks at Mara*

"thanks for the TOSOT, I really, really, LOVED it!"

Well one day I noticed the show wasan't really on T.V anymore. I searched into and found out it was canceled ( mfw )

I searched if i was coming back and looked into rumors and stuffs and found this site. I thought it looked interesting and signed up. (The block thing that don't let non-users see the forums made me  pretty curious too >.>)

As much as I adore JN, there are those who try to sap the fun out of it... There's someone on the JN wiki pages removing fan theories people have added to those pages... Now, I realize that anyone is free to edit wiki pages, but what this user is doing kinda ruins how fun it is to edit them; I mean, fan speculation is a part of what makes being part of a fandom so much fun...! ^_^ We should be allowed to add whatever fan theories we want to the wiki pages, within reason, of course... Whoever this is, he/she's putting a real damper on the fun of editing pages... <_< :grr: It's okay to have theories about JN, or any other series, for that matter, and making those theories known is perfectly fine, too. This user is kinda starting to tick me off here... :grr: I just wish he/she'd leave well enough alone...!

Speaking of that I don’t know if you’ve noticed but I’ve been the one adding more episode transcripts. I did parts of The Junkman Cometh, Beach Party Mummy, Retroville 9 and League of Villains.

I am fine with fan theories as long as the wiki is NOT saying they are officially confirmed. It has to say they are fan theories. Anything that wasn’t stated in the official show besides character names shouldn’t really be there, as it is meant to educate people about the content within the show, it is not a fan site.

I wasn't saying that any of those fan theories were confirmed; the text was reading: "Some fans speculate that ...", so I don't see how that wasn't allowed on any character pages... Yet someone deleted those snippets on the pages, evidently thinking that the fan theories stated were claiming to be "official" when they really weren't... :grr: That's what "theory" means, something speculated by someone about something that hasn't been made official... Oy...

What I was referring to is I thought at one point when I checked the wiki said that two random background kids liked each other because they were hanging out in one episode, and some stuff about Cindy’s home life that was never confirmed. On Cindy Vortex’s page I think it says that in Stranded she says that her mother pressures her and her father’s not around a lot, which are only inferred.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind fan speculation; it’s one of the greatest cartoons of all time and it only has three seasons - shows that don’t jump the shark are more likely to have tons of fan theories

Well, I'm glad you respect that about fan speculation... I just wish that user wouldn't delete those parts of the character pages on the JN wiki; it explicitly stated that they were fan theories and speculation, but he/she still deleted them... No idea why, but it's ticking me off... <_<
