Now this has got to be my fave JN pairing, not just cause it prevents J/C (which I respect whole heartedly, btw).


See, unlike Cindy, Betty's been super nice to Jimmy ever since her first major episode, "Party At Neutron's".

She couldn't possibly show any type of rudeness towards him, it's just not her nature.

But one little thing, (just 1!) almost always keeps fans of this show from becoming full-fledged Jimmy/Betty supporters.

& that's her little "chat" with Cindy.

The "he's all your's [Cindy's]" line.

But we don't know if she actually meant this, or if she just wanted Cindy off her case, & that Betty might actually still LOVE Jimmy, even after this.

Ever think that's what she meant by it? Like she might have been thinking at the time, "look, I'll let you have your shot at Jimmy, but the second you goof it up, he's mine!" or the like.

Ever think she might've been thinking something like that at the time, & NOT just trying to be shallow?

I mean, she DID kiss Jimmy, twice! Long before Jimmy kissed Cindy in the LAST episode, Lady Sings The News.

When I first started watching JN, I used to think Cindy was horrible to Jimmy and Betty was so nice and helped him. That phase ended fast. I loved Cindy's cruel sense of humor and couldn't get enough of it. The chat in Vanishing Act did declare that Betty wasn't trying to steal Jimmy, but NekoGirl could be right. I do wish that Jimmy and Cindy had kissed sooner, because Betty was already making her move on Jimmy. Who knows what could happen? :huh:

I'm just into multiple pairings.

I find that Betty is always so sweet to Jimmy, and they would get along harmoniously.

However, with J/C I find it full of challenges and bumpy roads, but still durable. I mean, it is a pretty cute pairing because they're both so stubborn. <3

I can like lots of pairings, but some kind of make me kind of sick. Ex: JudyxCarl

Yes, I'm positive they would as well, I just know it. Betty is so the better choice for Jimmy, BECAUSE she's never even thought about being mean to him in the least.

Cindy on the other hand? Well, we all know the answer to that. ;) (on if she'd be mean to him or not that is)

& if I EVER managed to learn good enough writing skills, enough to write my own fanfics, then in each one of my JN romance stories, they would all have J/B as the main pairing, & besides, doesn't J/B need a little time in the spotlight too? Not always just J/C?

I'd probably write a few solo S/L and C/E fics too, but the main forefront of my imangination would totally be used for J/B. A little N/C-ness too, but J/B would be the starring couple! ^_^

I don't think Betty is so nice to Jimmy because she sees him as potential boyfriend material. I think she's just a natural flirt. She probably treats a lot of guys like that.

I know someone who looks a lot like Betty, and she's stunning... But on subject, Betty seems intellectually shallow, and almost condescending. Cindy has a real personality and intelligence.

Ok, where do you get the fact that she's shallow from? She's never even hinted on being shallow, AND Betty's also never done ANYTHING to hurt Jimmy, in any manner.

So unless your referring to that ONE line in Vanishing Act, I've NO clue where you get that from. :huh: -_-

But still, I'm asking this with all due respect.. ;)

Well, I don't argue that Cindy isn't cool or interesting, she's both, very much.

But I still think that Betty DESERVES Jimmy more than Cindy does, because Betty has never been mean to him in the least, whereas Cindy HAS.

Also, think about the possiblities of what COULD happen later on, once either became official.

If J/C happened, Cindy's anger issues could get better, but they could also get worse.

Listen to what she's saying in this second song, the basic meaning behind this is that her potential boyfriend, in this case, would be Jimmy, she's saying she'd be dominating & commanding of him, this might've been in Season 2, but it's THERE.

Betty?

She's shown absolutely NO reasoning why she might be cruel to Jimmy if they became official, so she's easily the better choice if he wants a KIND and CARING girlfriend.

But I'm NOT trying to flame/bash Cindy. Good Lord knows I wouldn't dare try to.

I'm just looking at the potential pairings in the longrun.

Jimmy/Betty might be a "boring" couple, but it'd be down to earth & they'd easily get along harmoniosly, like -Krista previously said.

Jimmy/Cindy might be thrilling & exciting to you all, but that doesn't mean Jimmy might be completely happy, if Cindy's anger issues & rudeness only got worse.

& isn't that what's important in a long-term relationship? Both love partners being completely happy & satisfied with each other? ;)

I may be wrong on Cindy's future personality, (& some of you might be certain I am), but you just DON'T KNOW. Cindy might turn out to be the sweetest girlfriend Jimmy could ever ask for, but she could also just as easily be the worst he ever imangined in a girlfriend too. It just depends on what they go through, & how they treat each other.

& judging on the cartoon, by how, even though J/C's getting more & more obvious, these two are STILL fighting with each other, not as MUCH as in season 1 maybe, but they still are.

I like them both, but I could see J/B happening easier because Betty's feelings are more open to him than Cindy's for him, so she would act faster (and has acted faster) than Cindy.


Now, what Jimmy likes is another question. He likes Betty because she's pretty and nice. Then he likes Cindy because she's smart, she 'distracts him', and that he lieks her flight suit. I guess that evens them both out. I think Betty is better, as maybe a better companion and a mother to possible kids, plus shes nicer to him than Cindy will ever hope to be, so I like J/B better than J/C.

& if you just try to imangine that the writers probably only had Betty tell that to Cindy in Vanishing Act because they didn't want to get sued by JxCers, (the VERY hardcore, HATE any other couples within the two kind of JxCers I mean) so they just HAD to make JxBers think all hope was lost..

But I'm not about to give up, just wait! If Cindy goofs up on JxC's relationship MAJORLY somewhere down the road, then Betty has every right to be Jimmy's girl. ^_^

For me if I didn't think J/C had something special and didn't think they were meant to be then I'd say go J/B cause she is nice. But I think J/C were literally meant for each other, I love them both together, and I think the creators always meant to have them come together and fall in love, and I think it's going to work out :)

But to each his/her own, cause just imagine if everyone liked the same couples and thought the same way...it'd be a boring world!! :D

i think that j/b are not a couple because aka betty only uses jimmy to make cindy mad so that proves betty is shallow! and also betty is poplular and she is already dating nick!
and also she is not into jimmy !
even in the character profiles on nick and anywere else it says jimmy likes cindy and cindy likes jimmy!

first of all the first one was on the cheek and J/C kissed each other on the cheek many times and second of all she only kissed him for saveing them not because she liked him he kissed cindy because he liked her. so i dont think so  :P  ^_^  :D

You know now that I think about it it kinda looks like Betty's kisses forshadow the kisses Jimmy gives Cindy later on. First Betty kisses him on the cheek and then kisses him on the lips. Then Jimmy kisses Cindy on the cheek and then kisses her on the lips. That probably means nothing but I just couldn't help from noticing ^_^
