This is slightly off-topic, but... Can we just take a minute to talk about Singapore's most-read non-English magazine, iWeekly (I don't know what their #1 selling English publication is), and how they gorgeously objectify both men and women on their covers in equal measure?

Why can't we get some magazines in this country that feature men pole dancing instead of the same 10 photoshopped actresses over and over? Come on, America! I guarantee it'd sell!

I wouldn't care, if magazines objectified men in the same way. It's either gotta be "everyone gets paraded out for the opposite sex to ogle" or "nobody does". On another note, they really do need to cut down on the airbrushing of both genders (and that's coming from someone who lives and breathes photoshop).

I hate to generalize, but at as far as males in the media business goes, I'd say that east Asia has a much higher percentage of lookers. With west Asia, it's a lot more hit or miss... most of them are 'meh' to me, but occasionally, there's one that makes me go "OMG, I wanna bear your children; NAO! D:", and that never happens for me with those from east Asia (at least not yet)... I dunno, it's a weird dynamic...
