I never wanted Hillbook to end. It was just so amazing, and felt so friggin' realistic.

I don't think I've laughed that hard in years. I was literally rolling on my bed gasping for air. :lol:

Hillbook is pure awesome. :) I'm so glad I could introduce you to it! It's one of my faves... ever. It's just so funny!

Most of the fanfiction I read in general are oneshots (with very few exceptions). I rarely read any chapter fics because 1) I usually don't have the patience to go through a story too long, and 2) they often go incomplete anyway.

Sometimes the shortest and simplest are the best. ^_^

I love this "How I Met Your Mother" oneshot a great deal. Cilantro

Its probably my favorite HIMYM fic of all. I'm very picky about what I read. I like my fics to feel in-character and realisitc, and like they could happen in an episode. And even though the ending of "Say Cheese" was just a joke, I can see this happening. Not overly sweet, not overly-dramatic, but still pretty damn cute. ^_^

I was finally able to find two of my favorite HIMYM fics on livejournal! (From now on I save every fic that I want to save right away. I was pretty worried I'd never be able to locate them again.)

 

They both go together, and are both short, sad, and sweet, just the way I like it. ;)

Squeeeeee I just spent like an hour reading the SoulxMaka fic You Know You Trust Your Partner When... It's actually a whole bunch of non-sequental oneshots (of varying content and quality) grouped together under the theme of "trust", and AH. MAH. GAWD. It's so cuuuuuute and heartwarming sdfkabskfjh I can't deal. Some of the oneshots have a much more "canon" feel than the others (and the first two are honestly kind of...icky, cause they involve barfing and stuff), but the ones that are good are REALLY GOOD.

 

It's been a long time since I've read fanfiction, and it's good to be back! :evillaugh:

I'm about halfway through the FMA fanfic Good for the Soul as I type this...it's a series of interconnected, not-necessarily-sequential oneshots focusing on Al's adventures in Xing. It's not spectacularly well-written, and there are some OOC moments (in my opinion), but Al x Mei Chang isn't exactly the most popular ship in the fandom, so I'll take what I can get ^^;

Yessss. Which oneshot was your fave? It's so hard to pick... I just love the part where they're at the masquerade, and he's all like "I am not Soul". Had meself a good chuckle at that, I did ^_^
