Yay steampunk!

So I've got a sketch for Not As Planned. It's just pencil so far. I think I'm going to go over the lines with ink and then maybe use colored pencils. I don't know.

So anybody got any ideas of what I could draw for some of the other days? So far the only other theme I have an idea for is dress up.

I don't know how well it'll fit. Plus it's taking super long because drawing with a tablet is about a million times harder than drawing with pencil. At least at the moment. I'll see if I can do anything with it. I've already got Jimmy drawn and I put Sheen in the other day, but I could just draw Cindy next and then crop Sheen out and work separately for something. That one might fit for Castaways.

If I could just get paper to draw on, I'd be set...I have a feeling my entries will be a tad late for JC week, but I'll do them!

I believe the concept is that they've both gone to the same college, but are in different departments, and they meet each other for the first time on campus. Karin says she'll explain more in the next image (since I think she's going for a bit of a sequential storyline type deal).

However...(go ahead and start throwing bricks) I don't like it. Cuz like...I don't see either of their personalities in this picture. It could be any two people standing there, not Jimmy and Cindy. I mean, Jimmy's bike isn't even pimped out with fancy gadgetry.

Maybe it's in a AU universe. Karin says the first meeting is as adults and we know that ain't true. Maybe he isn't that gadgetry in it *shrug*. But I agree with you.

Also I didn't notice the basket on the bike the first time. Why can't I picture Jimmy riding a bike with one?

I said pretty much the same thing to Karin. She said there are rockets hidden in the back of the bike. They come out when he's late to class

Well, I changed my mind about my "Dress Up" entry. The pirate one felt random and un-JCish, so I thought about it for awhile, decided I liked Em's toga suggestion, and came up with something better.

It's Jimmy and Cindy dressed up as figures from Greek mythology!

I don't know about you, but when I watched Clash of the Titans as a kid, I couldn't help feeling bad for Medusa...she's such a tragic figure; cursed, feared, alone, and constantly hunted by nasty men who want to kill her and cut off her head.

In my version of the myth, Perseus, played by Jimmy, falls in love with Medusa (Cindy) when he glimpses her reflection off his shield. Cindy returns his affections, but because even a passing glance would kill him, she commands him to leave rather than risk turning him to stone. Determined to be with her at any cost, he does the only thing he can think of - he cuts out his own eyes so that he can remain by her side without fear of ever looking upon her. (Or, if you want the kid-friendly version, he simply puts on a blindfold and never takes it off).
