I've got an idea for Not As Planned, and I also want to try something for Dress Up. I'm not sure I'll have time for any other themes though. That's my orientation week.

Honestly, Em, I don't think I will ever draw a Little Mermaid crossover because I frankly hate Ariel...I think she's a bratty, entitled 16-year-old who sold her soul for lady bits and a man she's never met.

Not my idea of a good protagonist. <_< (But of course, that's just my opinion, and I know I'm in the minority in terms of thinking that way).

Anyway, if you wanna see them as mermaids, give it a whirl yourself!

When I was a little girl, I couldn't STAND The Little Mermaid or Ariel herself. Annoyed the crap out of me. Belle was my girl - I was obsessed with her. Way cooler. She stood up for herself and who she was and on top of everything she was a NERD who loved BOOKS. *fangirls*

(Before we get into a discussion of best/most kick-ass Disney girl role-model, please remember I'm an old lady and Mulan didn't come out until I was already hitting puberty, lol).

I like Ariel and The Little Mermaid, but it's not my favorite or anything. Mulan is definitely my favorite Disney role model. :thumbsup: She saves her entire country from the Huns with a few cross dressing men, a fan, and a one-foot tall dragon. Pretty bad ass.

I like the Little Mermaid, if only for the music. Not a fan at all of her giving up her life for a guy she never met but fell in love with.

LOL!... since we are discussing Fairy Tales :) I think I had better put in my two cents. I am a fan of Belle.... :) She's my favorite by far. :) Pocahontas is a close second. :)

Belle wasn't lookin' for romance, she just wanted freedom and adventure. :) What she found was a man who needed her.

Pocahontas because she really saved the life of John Smith at the risk of her own life for a complete stranger or maybe not so stranger?? :D LOL... personally I don't think the real Pocahontas was involved with John Smith, she was just a pretty awesome girl.

Did you know in the story of The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Anderson she actually fails and turns into sea foam?

I've already posted 2 of them, but I will post 'em again to refresh your memory. They're done in the classic JN style, which I learned before manga.

To me, this one looks a little weird, mainly cuz of Carl without a shirt, but I do find it cool they're in the traditional merpeople get-up. But for the JN gang, I prefer them with their traditional shirts, hence this pic I drew MUCH more recently:

This one I made for a RP in the JN RP forums. I think they look MUCH better in their classic shirts, only they each have a tail. lolz

I don't have an account there. If I made one, I'd feel obligated to upload ALL my artwork there, which is over 500 pieces, and that's QUITE a lot to upload to that site in a short time. But thanks all the same! I'm quite proud of them, actually. ^_^
