Last night it was True Grit, and tonight it's Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. :thumbsup:

I just finished watching Heroes. Overall, I really enjoyed it. It had some cool and interesting storylines, it was cool seeing all the different Abilities, and I really liked a lot of the main characters (particularly Hiro, Noah and Sylar).

I think the main problems I had with it were the unresolved plotlines, and the... how do I put it... pointless characters.

For example,

But, anyway, I still enjoyed it despite its flaws, and would definitely watch it again given the chance. :thumbsup:

Just finished watching Grave of the Fireflies for the first time in several years. Saddest effing movie ever, I swear. First time I've cried at a movie in a good five years, too. WHY DID I DO THAT TO MYSELF, WHY??

Last movie I saw was Spirited Away.

And as for TV shows, I've been rewatching Avatar. I just recently finished The Deserter. "I don't know why, but I thought you'd be better than Zuko!" :lol: Poor Zuko. He didn't even know he was being ragged on. In fact, I don't believe he was in that episode at all. :blink: I forgot how minor of a character he was before Book Two.

The last movie I saw was the PowerPuff Girls Movie. I keep forgetting how goshdang EPIC that thing is!!

As for TV episodes, I've most recently seen Pokemon Season 1 Ep 5: Showdown in Pewter City. It's one of the Season 1 eps I downloaded once from a torrent, then when my computer got that virus, I saved every vid I had onto discs, then reset it. I'm keeping the vids on discs instead so my computer will have a lot more space. haha

As for the ep, it was pretty epic how Brock seemed to take pity on Pikachu when it faced his Onix the second time. It was also really cool how he joined Ash and Misty on their journey, and how Flint, Brock's dad, took care of his siblings while he's away to fulfill his dream of becoming a Pokemon breeder. :) The 3 of them make a pretty awesome team; I just wish they hadn't split up after a while...

God, I loved the new True Grit! How 'bout you?

Having seen both versions...well, there are things I like better about the old one, and things I like better about the new one. I didn't mind Maddie losing her arm in the new one, but the ending seemed needlessly dreary and depressing. It was so sudden and almost...I dunno, tonally dissonant from the rest of the film. Kinda like a slap in the face to the audience. "Oh, she grew old and alone and never saw them again. Her life sucked. Aren't you glad you watched?" Plus Matt Damon as LaBoeuf = no.

All in all, I think I liked the old one better, even though I saw the new one first.

Neither are in the running for my favorite Western, though. The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly is by far my favorite, followed by The Quick and the Dead, cause that's the only Western I can think of that stars a female gunfighter.

I just watched "My Name is Nobody", and there was something about Nobody's attitude that reminded me of Nav...

Plot made no sense though ^^;
