Gah! After forgetting COUNTLESS(JK!) times to update this fic, I hereby give you Chapter 3!! Just prepare yourself, though, cuz it's rather long. lol Here 'tis!!


Nobody's Perfect

Chapter 3: A New N-Men Member


Once they'd treated themselves, they headed back toward Jimmy's place. Yet again, Sheen sped ahead of them in a split second and beat them by 10 minutes.

When they got back, they found Sheen leaning against a tree, waiting for them impatiently. "'Bout time you guys got here!" he teased them with a smirk on his face.

"Knock it off, Sheen!" Libby scolded him gently.

By this time, Cindy was about fed up with not knowing what Sheen took without permission, so she snapped, "Nerd-tron, just TELL us what exactly he took! What all is it gonna hurt if ya tell us?! So spill it, Freak Brain!"

Jimmy at last relented and finally admitted, "They're my N-Men packets..."

Alexis was confused. "N-Men packets?!" she repeated, baffled beyond belief.

Jimmy just shrugged with a smirk and explained, "They're just concentrated forms of super-human abilities we got when we accidentally passed through the Van Patten Radiation Belt around the Earth coming back from a game of mini golf on Mercury, based on what we were doing when the rays hit us, of course. I was arm-wrestling with Cindy cuz I was mad at her for something; Libby was applying vanishing cream; Sheen was in a vibrating chair; and Carl was belching loudly. Because of what we were doing, Cindy got flight, super-vision, and super-strength; Libby got invisibility and force-field-projection; Sheen got super-speed; Carl got super-belching; and I mysteriously turned orange and green and turn into a super-strong rocky person when I get mad about something. Does that explain it, Alexis?"

"Yes, it does. Thanks," she replied gratefully, "But what still baffles me is why you turned orange and green!"

"Hey, Jimmy!" Carl interjected helpfully, "Don't you remember that orange juice I gave you just before those weird ray-things hit us?? I think that's what did it!"

He thought this over a few moments, then his mind clicked when he exclaimed, "Of course, Carl! Why didn't I think of that before?! DUH!!"

"And that also explains his fruity scent!" Sheen put in, attempting to be helpful.

But Jimmy just gave him a look that said, "You're not helping, Sheen!"

He saw it and muttered, "Sorry..."

"Since Sheen has his, could we have ours, Neutron??" Libby wanted to know.

"Okay, here," he agreed, and handed them their respective packet, which they doused immediately. Jimmy also consumed his, as well.

"Love the lime flavor, but I don't feel any different," Cindy informed them about her green one.

"Mine was strawberry-flavored and magenta," Libby said.

"Teal and blueberry," Sheen interjected, "I think..."

"Reddish-orange and orange," Carl told them.

"And my red one was cherry," Jimmy was saying, "But I think we should test them, just to be sure." So he thought of something that made him mad and he temporarily transformed into his hulky self. Then, being glad he transformed successfully, he returned to normal. "Great! It works!" he exclaimed, then asked, "How about the rest of you, aside from Sheen?"

"Try yo' super-vision, Cin!" Libby suggested.

"I will, but where are you?!" she anxiously wanted to know.

"Open yo' eyes, girlfriend! I'm right in front of you!!" her friend protested, turning visible again.

"Sweet! You're powers work, now let me try my super-vision!" Cindy told them, and used it to search for something out of the ordinary. Then, she saw it! Butch, the school bully, was playing with paper dolls!

"What did you see, Vortex?" Jimmy questioned her.

Her vision returning to normal, she exclaimed, "I saw Butch, the school bully, and he was playing with PAPER DOLLS!!!"

"Pffft, oh, PLEASE!" he said, rolling his eyes with his arms crossed.

"It IS true, Nerd-tron!!!" she argued, stomping the ground at the word "is".

"Look at the ground where she stomped it, guys!!!" Sheen declared, pointing at the place where Cindy stomped her foot. They looked and saw an inch-deep impression of her shoe in the ground where she stomped it.

"Wow! Guess she was telling the truth!" Jimmy informed them.

"DUH!!" Cindy snapped at him.

"What about you, Carl?" he wanted to know.

His friend just looked upward and let out a super-burp that rattled anything airborne in its path. Then Carl looked back at him and said, "Yep!"

The only one feeling left out was Alexis, mainly because she wasn't with the gang when they passed through the Van Patten Rays. "Darn, I wish I had superpowers like you guys...," she muttered, utterly disappointed, taking a sip of her coconut slushie she'd gotten at the Candy Bar.

Jimmy thought this over a few moments, then informed her, "I think I can arrange that, Alexis!"

"What are ya gonna do, Nerd-tron?!" Cindy taunted, "Send her through the Van Patten Rays and have her do something crazy while going through them so she can gain some lame superpower of some sort?!"

"You'll see!" he promised as he retreated to his lab. He was in there for half an hour, then he came back out with an odd-looking remote. When he pressed a button on it, a cylindrical chamber with a domed top rose up from the ground with multiple lights and blinking panels covering the device flashing on and off randomly. A door with a rounded top and a circular window slid open automatically.

Sheen, being the immature guy that he was, pointed at the device and said in awe, "Ooo!! Pretty lights!"

"What is this thing, Neutron?" Libby wanted to know, rolling her eyes at Sheen's comment.

"Guys, I give you the Van Patten Ray Simulation Chamber, or VPRSC for short," Jimmy announced, "It's an exact replica of what we passed through, only it doesn't drain your energy gradually like the real rays do."

"Is it safe?" Alexis asked.

"Sure is!" he reassured her encouragingly, "Go ahead; hop inside!"

Still slurping her slushie, she stepped inside and sat on the provided leater seat inside it. The door shut automatically when the machine sensed her inside it, and simulated Van Patten Rays filled the chamber. A few seconds later, she came out, still si8pping her slushie.

"Well...?" Jimmy wanted to know.

"I don't feel any different, but boy, it sure is hot today!" she commented, whistling, some ice crystals coming out of her mouth.

"Wait a minute, Alexis! Do that again!" he exclaimed.

"What? Whistle?" Alexis wanted to know.

Jimmy nodded.

She whistled again and the same thing happened. "YES!! I have ice breath!" she proclaimed, lifting her hands towards the sky and some ice crystals shooting out of the palms of her hands.

Carl saw that and pointed out, "Hey! That's the same thing Frozone does in The Incredibles! He does the same thing!"

"Awesome!" she cried out happily.

Just then, an alarm on Jimmy's watch went off.

"Here we go again...," Cindy groaned as she followed the others into Jimmy's lab.

Okay, that WAS interesting and I absolutely love Alexis' power :3 (I always wanted to do that, actually XD)

But, I'm quite worried about Jimmy. Why? Well, you'll see: I think he was a little OOC in this chapter, yow know, the way that he easily gave up on Alexis and gave her superpowers, he doesn't do that often, he's kinda mistrustful. But yow know, that's just me ;D

I definitely want to see what happens in the next chapter :3

Ho, WOW! That chapter had an amazing plot, and I loved it all. But Ely's right. Jimmy does seem a bit out of character. For instance, I don't think he'd say, 'duh.' Cindy and Libby would but not really any of the guys. It's all very, VERY great. And I loved it. Post soon!

Chapter 4: A False Alarm and Superkids at School


"Well, I wonder what could've set off the alarm this time...," Cindy sarcastically muttered later on in the lab.

"I'm working on it, Vortex!" Jimmy informed her, slightly annoyed, typing furiously at his keyboard.

"Then hurry UP!! I'm getting bored!" Sheen protested.

"It's only been 5 minutes since we came in here," Alexis reminded him.

"Exactly!" he rambled on, going on in detail about utter nonsense, mainly about UltraLord.

"Sheen?" Libby said, tapping his shoulder.

"Yes?" he asked.

"Shut up," she gently ordered.

"Sorry."

"Whew! I was getting tired of that! Thanks, Libs!" Cindy interjected, referring to Sheen.

"No prob," she returned politely.

"Well," Jimmy informed them a few minutes later, "Turns out, the alarm was just a technical glitch on my watch. Let's just carry on with our lives." He fixed the glitch on it and sent them out of his lab, soon following them out as well.

Then he checked the time on his watch. "Oh, gosh!" he muttered under his breath, "We have 5 minutes to get to class!!"

"Well, let's get going, then!" Alexis urged, and on her own whim, a round snowboard appeared under her on some snow she generated, "So, since you can't fly or run super fast, hop on my board behind me and hold on tight while I snowboard to school, Jimmy."

He gladly hopped on and rode behind her, holding onto her tightly, while Cindy flew while carrying Carl, Libby flew on a force field disk, and Sheen ran super fast. They made it to school in under a minute.

Once there, they ran the rest of the way so they wouldn't be late for class.

After they'd taken their seats with the rest of the class, Miss Fowl came in and announced, "Good morning, class! Today is a good daaaaay for a-" Then she noticed Alexis sitting patiently behind Carl and added, "Oh! I see we have a new student with us! Please come up and introduce yourself, miss!" As she was saying that, she motioned for Alexis to come to the front of the class.

Alexis obediently walked up and turned around, saying, "Hi, everyone! My name is Alexis Owensby. I'm sure we'll all be great friends!" She then proceeded to return to her seat and wait for Miss Fowl to speak again.

She and the others didn't have to wait long, because Miss Fowl informed them, "Now, let's begin with a pop quiz! Don't worry; this is stuff you already know!" She then handed out the quiz sheets.

Once again, Cindy challenged quietly, picking up her pencil, "You are goin' DOWN, Freak Brain!!"

"Not if I can help it!!" Jimmy asserted silently, starting his quiz.

Ten minutes later, Miss Fowl called time and took up the quizzes, heading back to her desk in order to grade them.

When she finished, she handed them back to her students accordingly.

When Cindy got hers, she boasted, showing Jimmy hers, "Ha!! I got an 'A+'!! Let's see what you got, Nerd-bomb!"

He just smirked, rolled his eyes, and showed her his, which read "A++", saying, "Read it and weep, Vortex!"

"What?! 'A++'?!!" she gasped, then she dropped her paper on the floor. Forgetting she had super-strength at the moment, she got jealous and crushed her pencil to graphite shavings and sawdust. Then she noticed what she'd done and muttered, "Oops!"

After thinking a bit and checking inside his desk, Jimmy offered, handing her one of his pencils, "Here, take this. I have extra; don't worry."

"Why, Neutron...!" she exclaimed, blushing hard and accepting the pencil, "Thank you!! I'm flattered!!"

When Sheen saw Miss Fowl's back was turned, he said sneakily to himself, "Now's my chance!"

But Alexis saw that look and thought to herself, Better act fast so I can catch him off guard if he tries to skip class!

And that's just what he attemped to do. Right as he tried to escape, she made the floor underneath him icy and slippery, so he slipped and fell flat on his face in the classroom doorway.

Of course, the entire class cracked up at his antics as he made his way carefully back to his seat and sat down.

Then Alexis looked over at Jimmy and sighed dreamily. Then, suddenly, how she saw things dramatically changed. She found she could not only see through walls, but, to her amusement, clothing, as well! When she saw him seemingly in his birthday suit, she started sniggering quietly, then she began to chuckle at him, holding her stomach, then burst out laughing like crazy, kicking the air, pointing at him, and holding her stomach!

"BRRAAAWK May I ask what's so funny you had to disrupt my claaass, Alexis?!" Miss Fowl asked, her hands on her hips.

She just kept pointing at Jimmy while laughing hysterically.

Then he turned around and sternly asked her, "What, may I inquire, is SO hysterical, Alexis?!"

"Pfffft, YOU!!!" she managed to gasp after she calmed down enough.

He looked at her like she was crazy, then he saw that look in her eyes! Jimmy would recognize that x-ray vision stare ANYWHERE! "Alexis," he breathed in awe, "You just got x-ray vision! Stop staring through my clothes, please!!"

Her vision returning to normal, she apologized, "Sorry, Jimmy."

"That's it! Sheen, Alexis, and Jimmy, detention!!" Miss Fowl squawked.

"C'mon, now's our chance, Cin!" Libby quietly suggested, leaning over towards her friend and turning invisible.

"Coo!" she silently exclaimed, and the 2 of them tried to leave, Libby tiptoeing out and Cindy starting to fly out.

But Carl saw and heard them and super-belched in their direction, knocking both of them flat on the ground. The 2 girls, Libby becoming visible again, then walked back to their seats, as well.

"BRRAAWK Cindy, Libby, and Caaarrl, you 3 will be joining your friends Alexis, Sheen, and Jimmy in detention today!!!" Miss Fowl additionally scolded them.

"Yes, Miss Fowl," the 6 students chimed in unison.


There ya go! Hope ya enjoyed it! There's still much more to come, so don't go anywhere(figuratively speaking lol)!

Well, this chapter is AMAZING... Jimmy is SO in character now. That little JC moment was ADORABLE! (I wish they did this in the show too. ) Alexis doesn't seem as bad as she looks. And the X-ray vision thing is SO cool! Now she has two powers! UN-FAIR!

Now...what is gonna happen in detention?

Chapter 5: No Ordinary Detention

"Way to go, Spew-tron! Thanks to YOU, we're all in detention!" Cindy snapped at Jimmy later on that afternoon in detention.

"What are you blaming me for, Vortex? Sheen's the one who started it," Jimmy told her sternly.

"Yeah!" Sheen agreed, then exclaimed, "HEY!!!"

"Ya know, it wasn't just Sheen who disrupted our class. Alexis took part with her giggling, as well, and Jimmy scolded her about that quite loudly," Libby reminded them.

"Don't remind me...," he muttered, somewhat embarrassed.

"Cindy, you and Libby, like Sheen, tried to skip class, too!" Carl recalled.

"Thanks for reminding us, Carl!!" Cindy sarcastically snapped at him.

"Anytime, Cindy!" he dim-wittedly replied.

Jimmy just rolled his eyes at that as he began taking notes about a new invention idea that had just sprung up in his mind.

Alexis just watched him doing that and sighed dreamily, starting to giggle a bit.

He heard her and turned around, saying firmly, "Alexis...! Your x-ray vision again!"

"Sorry," she murmered, her vision returning to normal.

Then he turned back around and returned to his work. Pretty soon, however, he muttered, "Darn it!"

"What is it, Jimmy??" Alexis sweetly wanted to know, flipping her hair flirtatiously at him again.

"I have to have access to my lab in order to complete this creation. There are chemicals I need that aren't accessible here at school," Jimmy explained with a sigh.

"It's too bad we're in detention," Carl muttered to himself, "Otherwise, you'd finish it really fast!"

"Touché," Jimmy told himself, then he exclaimed, "That's IT!!"

"What's it?" Sheen asked him.

"Goddard can help me out, guys!" he exclaimed, and paged Goddard on his watch. Then he told him, "Goddard, I'll enter in the chemicals I need on my watch. When you recieve the data immediately after that, gather the chemicals and bring them to me at school. You got all that, boy?"

He barked his reply as Jimmy proceeded to enter in the chemicals he needed. When Goddard recieved the data right after that, he gathered them up and brought them to his master within 5 minutes.

He took the chemicals from him and patted him on the head, saying, "Good boy!"

Then he combined them in such a way that they'd create something not-yet-seen before.

When Jimmy finished, he had in front of him 6 average-sized pieces of what looked like chewing gum.

Cindy turned to her right and saw his creation, then sarcastically remarked, "Wow, Spew-tron. You created something that already exists: chewing gum."

"That's where you're wrong, Vortex!" he proudly corrected her, "This gum I've just created enables whoever chews it to become invisible!"

"Sweet! Lemme at it!!!" Sheen exclaimed, immediately lunging for it.

But Jimmy stopped him just in time and firmly added, "There is, however, one setback to this: It makes you invisible, but not your clothes. In order to be truly invisible, you'd have to literally strip down... So, what do you think?"

"Even BETTER, Jimmy!!" Sheen informed him, holding out his hand.

"Oh, and one more thing. The gum has to stay in your mouth in order to remain invisible. Got it??" he additionally warned them.

"Okay, dude! Just gimme one already!!" Sheen impatiently demanded, still holding his hand out.

He finally relented and gave him a piece, which he immediately popped into his mouth. Just as Jimmy predicted, Sheen himself turned invisible, but his clothes didn't. When he fount this out, he giggled immaturely and stripped down unseen. Then he sat at his desk and kicked his feet back on top of his desk invisibly, saying with a sigh of contentment, "Now this is livin', guys! The cool breeze, the utter freedom, c'mon, guys! JOIN me! I haven't had this much fun in my life!!"

"Ew!! No way!" Cindy and Libby exclaimed out of disgust.

"Maybe...," Alexis mused to herself, "Perhaps..."

"I don't know about this, Sheen," Carl cautiously told him.

"Hmmm...," Jimmy said to himself, thinking, then shrugged and added, "Ah, what could it hurt??" So he also took one, popped it in his mouth, and stripped down invisibly, as well. Then he leaned back in his chair and relaxed comfortably with a contented sigh and informed his friend, "You're right, Sheen! This is rather relaxing!"

Anything my Jimmy does, I do, Alexis told herself mentally and mimicked his actions exactly as he did, shedding her short skirt, go-go boots, single strap top, and anything else she was wearing once she was invisible.

"I cannot believe that girl had the nerve t' do such a thing!" Libby gasped, looking at Alexis' seemingly empty chair, at Cindy, and back at the seat, "But, I guess if she can do it, so can I!" With that, she took a piece and did the same as the others. Then she added, "I could get used t' this!"

Cindy just rolled her eyes when she did that, then thought begrudgingly, Man, this is beginning to get insane!! But I guess if Libs can do it, I can, too! She then grabbed the second-to-last piece and copied the others.

Jimmy just laughed for a few moments when he saw them do that, then looked at Carl and saw a nervous look on his face. "Carl, it's up to you. Would you care to join us or not?" he asked him.

After hesitating a few moments, he told him, "Okay, I give, Jim, wherever you are. Hand it to me."

Jimmy handed it to his obese friend, who did what the others had done, becoming invisible, as well.

"Ew!" Cindy exclaimed, "This gum tastes like FISH!!" She then spit it out into her hand, becoming visible again.

Libby nudged her with her elbow and pointed out, "Uh, Cin? Look at yo'self!!"

She looked down and quietly screamed, "Eeeeek!!" So she popped it back into her mouth, reguardless of how bad it tasted.

Then each of them happened to look down next to their seats where they'd left their clothes, but they were GONE!!

Do you really believe that was strong? .u. Yeah, the issue is but I think you described it pretty well, it was funny, I didn't feel it like "wrong" or "strong". I've read REALLY strong language, trust me, you did it pretty well ^^

Now...OH my gosh XDD That was...my, I want the next chapter now XD

That...was...surprising. I do believe that Alexis has a lot to give, I wasn't liking her BUT you've changed my mind. What is she really doing there? I'm very curious about it.
