The first ever pairing I shipped was....let's see....Justin/Mrs. Frisby in The Secret of Nimh. (of note: in the book, her name is "Mrs. Brisby", and before anyone gets upset, her husband's dead, she wouldn't be cheating. And while the sequel book squashes the pairing, it was written by a different author, and the sequel movie wasn't that good, so I pretend it doesn't exist....but then, I don't suppose rats and mice can really be together...)

When I was little I wasn't SUPER into pairings. Last year I went through a phase of extreme fanfiction reading, but it was mostly Glee stuff.

So I guess my first active ship waaaaaas...maybe Finn/Rachel? Yeah, I think that was it. Although i did read an amazing Puckleberry fic once...(but I cannot stand Quinn/Finn. Ugh.)

First slash pairing was Brittany/Santana. (Waaaay back in the first season and early second season, when pretty much the only signs of gay between two people (Kurt and his moisturizing regime do not count) were the pinky-linking and that throwaway line about them sleeping together.) It's just...wow I love Brittana so much.

I don't really have many aggressive/active ships at the moment. I just kind of sit back passively and point fingers.

First pairing I "shipped" probably depends on the meaning of the word. If you mean shipped like...watched a movie and wanted the two romantic leads to get together by the end, then that would have to be Beauty and the Beast when I was like, six.

But if you mean "shipped" as in, read stories or imagined the two people talking and getting closer together over time, and trying to piece together the whole relationship obsessively...hrm...

Probably something from the Star Wars realm. And since the first real couple I was exposed to there was Han and Leia, I'll have to go with them. That would've been around age 9 or 10. Shortly following, the next Star Wars couple that immediately springs to mind is Jacen and Tenel Ka. ADORKABLE, YES? (does anyone know what I'm talking about?)

And Corran and Mirax, just a tad bit later than that.

After my intense Star Wars obsession phase, I slowly moved onto other fandoms. But since I was so utterly obsessed with Star Wars for so many years of my youth, I am positive that my first "fan obsession" with a ship must have been in that fandom. Though at the time, I had no idea it would be called "shipping". And THERE WAS NO INTERNET (at least, no common household internet). And no fanfiction. So...shipping was a bit different back then.



EDIT: Haha. Realized I already responded to this topic two years ago on the page before this. Similarly, too. Except I included when I first actually knew about shipping and got into arguments over it, etc, and discussed the "later years" with Harry Potter, etc.

My first ship was J/C back in the sixth grade, but I didn't know what shipping meant until September of THIS year...talk about slow xD
Also, the other thing I shipped along with JXC was probably Chase and Zoey at the time from Zoey 101.

I didn't start reading fanfic until this summer!

How did I not see this topic earlier? Maybe I did, and just didn't answer because I have absolutely no recollection of what my first ship was.

...Though I can probably safely say that J/C and Helga/Arnold are two of my longest running ships.

I remember watching Hey Arnold, but I wasn't a fan of the Helga x Arnold ship until NOW, when I can understand the deeper parts of the show. Jimmy x Cindy on the other hand, I do remember
