OK, so this one's strictly for fun.

Here's how it works: make up a poem (absolute maximum one page, PLEASE try to keep it short) that explores the relationship between 2 JN characters. It can be about ANY sort of relationship - romance, friendship, enmity, indifference, whatever. If the 2 characters aren't immediately clear from the poem itself, make sure to include the character names in the title or in the description.

For example, here's a haiku (5,7,5 syllables):

Ms. Fowl, marry me
You're my avian goddess
-Thomas Edison

...XD Now remember, poetry is subjective, not objective, so voting will be somewhat difficult. I'll pick what I believe to be the best 3 poems, then you guys can vote on your favorite. The winner will get his/her poem HTMLed and put on the mainsite, and I will also write the winner a poem about whichever 2 characters he/she chooses.

This is a really fun, light contest, no stress or anything. Enter as many times as you want before November 15!

This sounds like loads of fun, and not too hard, too. I think I might take a crack at it! I'm certainly no poet (no writer period, but poetry especially, I'm...blech! ) But, since its all in fun, it can't hurt to try.

Thank you so much for another awesome idea! Nov. 15th should be plenty of time. In case my comp.'s away being fixed at that time, I can always still post at the library, so no problemo.

BTW, love your little Ms. Fowl/T. Edison poem. Only you...

Oh, this looks like fun! I might take a stab at it; I just have one question: can we enter more than one? I tend to flesh out a bunch of poems at once... if I do that, should I pick the one I think is best and enter that, or should I post all over them (or the presentable ones, anyway)?

Ohhhh, how sweet! Very original, too. So beautifully written for a relationship not often thought about (not that we don't know a relationship with a pet can be strong ). Carl did love that turtle.
