They changed his name because "death" scares the kiddies, I believe it's the horror section of the video store or the Redbox keyosk that scares kids.
That, and this:

Slade's real villain name is Deathstroke The Terminator, they dropped the Terminator subname due to copyright reasons with the Terminator films, so they shortened his name.

LOLOLOLOL! Yeah, I knew about Deathstroke's "Terminator" Title, but I chose to leave it out, because, once again, in MY OPINION, it sounded EVEN LAMER!
But, yeah, you're definitely RIGHT there!
Great fatality!

100% True.
I like Slade better than 'terminator', well, I think Slade's actually a surname. My friend's last name's Slade.
Jacob Slade. Apparently he get's pissed when I mention the Teen Titans name--yeah he hates me for that nickname I call him Slade, appropriate, no?

My brothers watched this around the time when I was (three or something?) and when one of my brothers found them on YouTube (about a month ago), he got me into it.
I don't support any of the pairings (at least not yet...I am only halfway in the third season), My favorite character would have to be Starfire.
To bad it didn't go on long enough for the DC Animated Universe to give it a Batman crossover (to see why Robin left, something I would want to know)
BUT DID THEY HAVE TO MAKE THE THEME SONG SO FREAKING CATCHY/AWESOME!?!?!?!

Oooo.....
I've not seen this before. I'm a huge fan. I have also read the comics. The origionals, not the remake. My biggest ship is BB/Rae mostly cause it's cannon in the comic books and I just love it so much.
I'm with ya there!
I feel like the TV show dealt with the earlier arcs of the Teen Titans, so it's somewhat of a backstory to the comics... hence it was possible for them to make Terra start good, then turn evil, and for her to be BB's 'first love'... BB and Raven have a couple of 'moments' in the show that I believe to be foreshadowing to what happens later on in the original comics =D

just wondering, did any of you guys read the original tt comics. i haven't but i don't think i want to since from what heard their much darker than the tv series. in fact to dark for my taste. first off all, i hear blackfire is much meaner and cruler in the comics and that terra sleeps with slade.
Reviving after reading through this topic and seeing this old quote... Excuse me, um, what?? Terra sleeps with SLADE in the comics?! I can't believe I never noticed this before... What in the UNIVERSE were those writers thinking?! That is just sick and wrong!

But like someone else said in one of the old posts, that outfit Starfire wears in the comics is just asking for her to get violated... Never read the comics, but I've seen pics of that version of her when searching for good RobxStar, or just Starfire, images online... She is clearly asking for it without realizing it in the comics...
Wearing revealing clothing does not mean that a woman is "asking for" sexual assault. Victims do not invite assault because of their fashion choices. Only one person is culpable for a sexual assault: the perpetrator. Period, end of sentence.

Sorry; that kinda style of dress just really annoys me, though... Star's outfit in the comics is definitely not kid-friendly...
Unlike the Cartoon Network show, the original comics weren't made for kids. Disliking a fashion style is no excuse for victim-blaming.
