IMO romance is the only thing done better in the films. But not "canon" romance.

I think they shipped R/H just a little too soon in the movies though.

@ Mary: Thanks! I got it now.

@ Katy: I'm sorry I have to disagree with you on that. Books are much better than the movies. In Order of the Pheonix movie, there were scenes that were cut out. :grr: In my opinion I think that only Harry Potter ans The Philosopher's Srone and Chamber of Secrets were good. After that the making of the other films went downhill. :(

@ Crys: Yeah, i agree with you on that, especially in POA, they added some R/H scenes that weren't even in the book.

You really have to take the films as separate entities, or almost as alternate realities because if you're looking for them to be exactly the same as the book you'd be wrong. As for OoP, if you're talking about the

that was before DH came out and they wouldn't have realized it was important until then.

The reasons Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets are closer to the books is because those books were shorter, so it was easier for the directors and screenplay adapters to determine what could be left out. There wasn't as much stuff that seemed unimportant in the first three books that became wildly important later in the series, like in Goblet of Fire and later.

And me, being the utterly stupid one, highlighted the first three black tabs. I didn't understand the first one but the two others about the deaths just broke my heart. =[

I'm going as Hermione for Halloween this year. It might be one of the most unoriginal costumes I've ever done. Best friends are going as Neville and Fluffy. Hopefully my boyfriend will come with as Harry. (I know boyfriend should = Ron, but he's not a red head, and just... no.) 18 and trick-or-treating. Excitement.

I love HP!

And I know this was a while ago...but the books are SOOOO much better than the movie.
I love the movies too. But I'm with Crys, you have to view it as a seperate entity or you can get frusterated.
