And why do you assume this experiment was to learn about you? For someone so seemingly concerned with the well being of others, you always have had quite the ego, Vortex.

I am sorry to disappoint, but my "grand experiment", as you call it, has always been to learn more about my own self. To learn MY weaknesses and MY shortcomings - which, I might add, are going through exponential decay with time. Seeing as you knew my...old...self, you could potentially be aware of certain weaknesses of mine and try to exploit them. So I watch you. I play with you. I taunt you. I push you to the point where you try to lash out at me using your knowledge of my character. I will give you credit there, Vortex, you do know me better than any other being in this universe.

In this manner, I am able to run brief controlled experiments to test my own limits and learn what I need to overcome.

Did you really think this was about you? Did you really think I needed to learn more about you? I KNOW you, Cindy. I know your strengths and shortcomings. I know your skills and flaws. *cold smile* And I know your weaknesses. All the little "intimate details", as you phrased it.

Thankfully, I was prepared for this eventuality. As soon as my watch recognizes my vital signs flickering out, it triggers my time machine to pick the alive, healthy me up from that morning prior to my demise. And so, here I am. Just as alive as I was earlier today.

I also have an overcoming urge to stick my tongue out at you. I am not sure where that came from. Must be a residual of the time shift. I will look into this after I finish with you.

Katie's note to Mara: DJ finds these terms to be fair. He also mentioned something about a pink bathrobe, but I am sure that is a topic he and Aurora can work out between themselves. I asked him if he would like one of Aurora's duties to be to shave his face for him, but he declined, hinting that he would not trust Aurora with a razor blade anywhere near his neck.

DJ is quite a guy, extremely powerful and smart. He can even subdue AURORA, until some extent.
It is getting interesting, as it touches the issues with big power, existentional questions and messing people's lives.
If DJ met Flank, that would be an interesting conversation, beneficient for all sides, if I may put to use my spirituality.
