AURORA: Every being except one. I'm not afraid of you.
And for all your boasts and brags, for all your sophisticated language, all I hear is that little boy inside you going "nah nah nah nah nah, I'm smarter than you!" You say that I'm primitive, that I haven't grown or matured? Well neither have you.
I am smarter than you. That is not boasting, it is just fact. Though if you insist, you can interpret it as you wish.
I might point out that your arguments are beginning to sound rather defensive. The "I am rubber you are glue" line of attack is not doing much for your efforts to appear to be a threat to me.
Speaking of which,
You just invalidated your earlier point. Regardless of the motivation behind it, you still treat me differently than everyone else. I have an effect on you. This very conversation is a testament to that fact. Are you having this conversation with the Gorlock High Council? No. How about the Galactic Police? No. One of the 7 Samarkandi? No. You're having it with me, and you've always been having it with me.
Call it an ongoing experiment. Any unique effect you have on me is a result of variables I have carefully laid out.
You are correct, in that I do not engage in these conversations with others. That would taint the results. This must be conducted with you. Your obsession with beating me began prior to the megalomanium. Others have not had such a long time to observe me in an antagonistic light. You are useful, for the time being, because of that.
To echo your sentiments: I am experimenting with you, Vortex. I have always been experimenting with you.
I'm not afraid of you.
But you are afraid of what I can do. Tell me, how is fear of a person's actions not fear of the person himself?
