Yesterday in English, we were taking a practice packet of multiple choice questions similar to the AP English test at the end of the year, and one of the questions was about Martin Luther King, Jr's grammar in Letter From Birmingham Jail. One of the choices was purple patch. No one knew what it meant, so my teacher decided to explain it.
"A purple patch is really lousy, poorly written fiction. Like the entire Twilight series."
It totally made my week.

Nothing against the franchise... just.
If the author were christian and not a non-believer (according to the Colbert Report when Stephen accused her of being an hectic woman) sorry to say, IF
the story were about something original (the whole plot's a HUGE adapation of Harry Potter and Buffy the Vampire Slayer) I might would have read the book series.
Not to mention that "Twilight" GAVE Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone a mockery... -.-

I honestly like Twilight... in an ironic way. Like, the movies are so hilariously awkward and badly-written that I can't help but enjoy watching them, lol.
