Here it is, the one I promised under Beks' Fanfic Challenge! Hope you enjoy it! All that writing almost made my hand cramp! lol

Chapter 1: Summer Camp
(Jimmy's POV)


Finally! It was the last day of school! I couldn't wait to spend the summer creating new invention ideas!

It was 10 minutes until the bell rang. Miss Fowl was explaining how they put the interior contents of Hot Pockets in the food item. But I didn't worry about that, because I saw the entire process firsthand in a factory. They let me in because of my good grade record. I
busied myself with taking notes about yet another invention idea.

Carl leaned over & asked, "Hey Jimmy? Whatcha doin'?"

"I'm just creating notes about a new invention of mine," I calmly explained in a low tone.

Miss Fowl finished speaking & then wanted to know, "Any more questions BRAAAWWK?"

Sheen immediately raised his hand.

"Yes, SHEEN?" she asked.

"Do they make any UltraBerry flavored Hot Pockets?" he questioned.

"NOOOO, Sheen!! Anything el-?" she added, but was interrupted by the school bell. Everyone of us rushed out the door & to our lockers to gather our things.

When I opened my locker, a letter of some sort fell out of it. I picked it up & read it to myself. Turns out, it was a letter of acceptance to a summer camp called "Camp Fun-For-All."

"Wait a minute! I didn't send in any acceptance form to this camp!" I exclaimed.

"What's all the racket about?" Sheen asked, walking up to me with a very similar-looking letter in his hands.

"Sheen, did you get a letter like this?" I told him, showing him my letter.

"Yeah! As a matter of fact, I did!" he replied, clearly confused. Then he caught Carl's attention as he happened to be walking past him, saying, "Hey, Carl! Did you get a letter from Camp Fun-For-All?"

"Yeah, I did! Strange, huh?" Carl said, scratching his head.

"What's so strange, Carl?" Cindy happened to ask.

"Jimmy, Sheen, & I got the same letter from the same camp! Do you think you got one?" he asked her.

"Strangely, I also did!" Cindy pointed out, then walked up to Libby & queried, "Hey, Libs? Did you get a letter like this?"

"Of course no-" she began, then opened her locker & the exact same letter fluttered out.

"Woah! Turns out, I did!" she exclaimed, picking up the letter.

"Do you guys know what this means?" Cindy wanted to know, "We're being sent to a summer camp!"

"And you know what else? Camp starts tomorrow at 8 in the morning!" I put in.

"Sounds like it's time to head home & start packin'!" Libby chimed in.

We each got our things from our lockers & headed for home.

When I walked in the door, I saw that Mom had already started packing for me. "Mom! You know about the camp, too??" I gasped.

"Sure do, sweetie! Now let's hurry up & finish getting you packed! The bus will be here in the morning!" she urged me, handing me my suitcase.

"So you're the one who sent in that acceptance form?" I clarified.

"Yes, Jimmy. Hurry up & pack, okay?" Mom told me.

"Okay, Mom!" I agreed, & packed what I would need in my hypercube.

The next morning, I had to wake up bright & early: about 7 in the morning. I quickly got dressed, grabbed an energy bar for my breakfast because that's all I had time for, & walked up to the bus stop. I noticed that Carl, Sheen, Libby, & Cindy were already there, camping gear in tow.

"So, Jimmy, where's your camping gear?" Carl asked me.

"It's all in my hypercube," I reassured him. Then I wanted to know, "Did each of your parents sign you guys up, too?"

They all nodded at once just as the bus pulled up & opened its doors. We all climbed on & chose where we were each going to sit. Carl & Sheen sat next to me, & Cindy & Libby chose the seat across the aisle from us. Then the bus started up & we were all on our way to Camp Fun-For-All. It took approximately 25 minutes to get there.

Once there, we were assigned to groups that were to be our official groups for the entire time we were there. Carl, Sheen, & I were in a group, & Cindy, Libby, & Britney were in another group. Our camp counselor's name was Ryan. He had short, black hair & looked to be Asian. The girls got a counselor named Lindsey. She had long, blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail with a pink scrunchie & brown eyes. From her accent, I could tell she was from somewhere in the Southeastern United States.

Our activities that day consisted of mainly softball, which my team won, & canoeing races, which Cindy's team won, to my bitter disappointment.
Then we retreated to our cabins for the night. Carl got the bottom of the bunk beds & Sheen got the top of that one. I slept on the bottom bunk of the other bunk bed, exhausted from the day's strenuous activities...


There it is! Hope you like it! I'll be copying the next chapter real soon! THAT's when it REALLY heats up! :onfire: lol, NOT like that! Enjoy! ;)

Can I just suggest a couple things, though?

First of all, the red is kind of hard to read against the blue background of this forum. Do you think you can stick to the default white? Or if you still want colors, could you maybe do either yellow or orange, since those show up better against blue?

Second, could you write out the word "and" instead of putting the "&" symbol? Sorry but that symbol just sort of bothers me...

Anyway, nice start like I said. Will there be an epic villain? Epic villains are win.

Nice start, even if it's supposed to be all at once, but whatever. ^_^

I agree with Mary on the color of text and the 'and' symbol, and also I think you should separate each paragraph with a blank line, like I'm doing now. It makes it even easier for people to read.

Oh, and could you post a link to this on the fanfic challenge topic, just so people know it's for there? ^_^

Chapter 2: Giving In To Temptation...
(Cindy's POV)


The next day started out like any normal day at camp. I woke up, got out of bed, & did my morning routine. We'd had a slumber party the previous night, so I let Libby & Britney sleep in. But they didn't get to sleep in very long, because our camp counselor Lindsey woke them up by saying, "Good mornin', sleepyheads! Today's the day y'all are gonna do pairings projects, so get up & hop to it!"

Libby sat up in her bed & stretched, yawning. Then she got out of bed & proceeded to get dressed, just like Britney was doing at that moment. I was already dressed, so I sat on my bed & waited for them to finish. "What do you girls think our project is going to be like?" I asked them.

"I don't know, Cindy, but I hope we're partners!" Libby told me hopefully.

"Like, if you 2 are partners, I'd have to be, like, with a BOY!" Britney pointed out, slipping on a pair of jean shorts.

"And you have a problem with that HOW???" I wanted to know.

"I don't know," she hastily replied, shrugging.

"Yeah. I'd like to be paired up with anyone but," I informed them with a shiver, "Nerd-tron!"

"Cindy, what have you got against Neutron? He's way smart, not to mention cute! You SO like him!" Libby protested.

"No, I don't!" I started to say, but admitted in a low voice, "Well, yeah, I do. But I'm not gonna tell him anytime soon!!"

Then we heard some commotion coming from the boys' cabin next to ours. I had to find out what was going on, so I said, "I'm gonna see what those morons are up to. Back in a jiff!" Then I headed next door & knocked on the closed door.

Sheen answered the door & gasped, "Cindy, thank goodness you're here! Jimmy's acting really weird, almost as if he's going ga-ga for someone!"

Right as he said that, I felt a strange change of emotion inside me. I went from not wanting to admit I liked Neutron to wanting to blab it to him & everyone else I met.

At that moment, Jimmy pushed his way to me as if he only wanted to be with me & nobody else. "Cindy, there's something I've GOT to say to you!" he gasped. I could almost see hearts in his deep blue eyes, he was so passionate.

"So do I, Jimmy!" I admitted, my heart pounding with passion. <3

Right then, we both exclaimed in unison, "I LOVE YOU!!!" We both embraced eachother & kissed like there was no tomorrow. We kept this up for at least 5 minutes, then we felt ourselves being pulled apart. I turned to find Libby with her mouth agape, her eyes wide open, & her arms folded. When she finally spoke, she exclaimed, "What exactly are you DOING, Cindy?!!!"

Putting my arm around Jimmy's shoulder, I explained, "I can't keep this a secret any longer, Libs! Jimmy & I are madly in love!"

"We have to meet with our counselors to learn about today's project, so let's get goin', girl!" she urged us, giving us a shove in the direction of our meeting place. Jimmy & I walked hand in hand, while Libby & the rest of them followed close behind us.

When we got there, Lindsey spoke up & announced, "Our project this year is gonna be a scavenger hunt! Ryan, hand out these lists to our campers, please!" Ryan proceeded to hand out the lists to each of us.

"We are to meet here at 5 in the afternoon, so good luck, & start hunting!" Ryan added, then pointed out, "Our pairs are Cindy & Jimmy, Sheen & Libby, & Britney & Carl. Good luck to each of you!"

Each pair was sent off in a different direction. As I was walking with Jimmy, he asked, "Are you nervous about this expedition?"

"Of course not! As long as I'm with you, I'm just fine!" I sighed, then spotted our first item: a maple leaf. "There it is! Our first item: one maple leaf!" I exclaimed, marking it off on our list & plucking off a maple leaf off of a maple tree.

"I can find these items in record time with my newest invention: the Item-Finder! All I have to do is press a button on it so it'll scan the area. The items are highlighted in red on this device's screen that are within 10 miles of our location," he explained, showing me how his invention worked in a snap.

Within 10 minutes, we had found the rest of the items: a $10 bill, a blue balloon, a light bulb, a teddy bear, & a spatula, all of which he stored in his hypercube he'd brought with him.

"Well, Cindy, we have the rest of the day until 5 'o clock this afternoon. What do you want to do?" he wanted to know.

I thought for a moment, then responded, "I know just what to do." I led him down the trail until we found a small, secluded area surrounded by weeping willow trees close together. Nearby was a trickling brook about a foot wide. It was the perfect spot for me & Jimmy to be alone together. That day in that secluded location, we did something I was gonna regret the rest of my life. We then fell asleep lying next to eachother in the tall grass. It wasn't until close to 5 I heard someone calling our name at the edge of the forest. I'd know that voice anywhere! It was Libby! She'd apparently come to search for us! With that, I shook Jimmy awake, saying, "Sweetie, I think Libby's about to come look for us! Listen!"

"Yeah, I hear it, too, Cin! Let's hurry & get dressed before she sees us like this!" he urged me. With that, we scrambled to get our clothes on before she arrived, which we were barely able to do before she saw us in our little hideout.

When Libby got to us, she had her hands on her hips & told us, "Everyone's looking for you 2! Get yo' acts together & come with me!"

Fully clothed, we got up & followed her back to camp. On our way back, she added, "By the way, what exactly were you 2 doing in there??"

"Um, nothing!" we told her nervously in unison, laughing uneasily.

"Uh-huh," she muttered, not really believing us.

J/C interaction: OK, here's where I have to say something. While I know you typed in

I still feel that the J/C moment was a little rushed (as much as I liked the part where they kissed like forever, I wonder whether they would really do it in front of everyone - or even if Jimmy would announce it in front of everyone or Cindy would agree at once in front of everyone). And as for whatever happened in the secluded place - that is a little vague, but I can now guess, and I don't know whether that would happen so quickly either!

Also, perhaps instead of writing 'you 2', it should be you two? Just a thought. Writing it in words makes it seem much more professional. And instead of '&', write 'and'? Again, more professional (even if a bit longer).

Britney = AWESOME! I love how she speaks! And how she interacts with Libby and Cindy!

Chapter 3: A Very Firm Discussion
(Libby's POV)


When we got back to camp, Lindsey and Ryan gathered all the groups together to determine the winner of the scavenger hunt. She gathered each of our lists and surveyed them carefully, then announced, "According to these lists, Carl's team came in third place with 2 items found. In second place, we have Sheen's group with 4 items found, and in first place, we have Jimmy's group with all 6 items found. Congratulations, Jimmy and Cindy!" As she was speaking, she applauded loudly and motioned for them to approach her, which they did.

Then I noticed that both of them had a guilty expression on their faces as they received their first place ribbons. Both of their faces were scarlet red in color. I had a feeling that this guilt had to do with whatever they'd been doing in that secluded section of the forest. I hoped that it wasn't any worse than kissing for who knows HOW long, seeing as that's how they acted this morning before the scavenger hunt took place.

When the award ceremony was over, I took both of them aside behind the girls' cabin to have a little talk with them.

"Alright, you two! I want the truth and nothing but the truth! Got it??" I demanded in a stern voice.

"Yes, Libby," they both replied in unison.

Then Jimmy spoke up, saying, "I never intended for this to happen in the first place. This morning, shortly before going on the scavenger hunt, I was going about my morning routine when Sheen asked about that love potion I had made a while back. I pulled a vial out of my hypercube and told him it was a modified version of it, that it was in liquid form and would cause a person to believe that he or she and his or her crush were married, of all things, and would cause them to do thing only married couples should do, that it would affect both the person wearing it and their crush. But, he apparently wasn't listening, and appeared to only have heard that it was a modified version of my love potion. He told me that he wanted to use it on him and you, Libby, and started to lunge for it. I jerked it away from him, only to have him chase after me for a few seconds and trip me when the vial was opened. The potion happened to spill all over me, and, before I could react or think, I started to want to make out with Cindy and to think that she and I were already married! What a crisis!

"Plus, later on, when she and I were alone after we had found all the items on the scavenger hunt list, we went into that secluded area you saw us in, took our clothes off, and, sorta made out... We felt so relaxed in that tall grass that we both fell asleep until we heard your voice in the woods, then we scrambled to throw our clothes back on before you could see us like that. Does that explain it?"

"Does it ever!" I exclaimed, then whipped out my cell phone and added firmly, "Why, I have the right mind to tell yo' folks about this right here and now! If I knew their numbers, why, I'd-!"

But then Cindy covered my phone with her hand and managed to say, "Libs, please don't be one to tell our parents! They'd be better off hearing the story from the source! Just don't tell Britney; she'd have blabbed the story before either of us had a CHANCE to tell our parents! Oh, my mom's gonna kill me when she finds out what I did! Oh, man! I'm dead meat for SURE!!!" With that, she covered her face with her hands and sobbed.

"O-kay, I can see that you and Cindy need some girl time alone, so I'll leave you two be," Jimmy politely told us, and retreated to his cabin.

Once we were alone, I informed her in a low voice, "Girl, the fact that you have this burden on your shoulders is making you miserable. Let's go back to the cabin and sort this thing out, okay?"

She could only nod as we returned to our cabin.

When we were inside, she asked, "Libby, I need to see you alone in the bathroom, please." She jerked her head in the direction of Britney, who, at the time, was sitting on her bed writing in her diary.

"Okay, Cindy. I can take a hint," I responded, and followed her to the bathroom, shutting the door behind us. I leaned against the sink and questioned, "So, what's on your mind, Cindy?"

She leaned over to me and whispered, "Libs, do you have one of those pregnancy tests with you?"

"Sure do!" I said, handing her one from my jean pocket, "My mom makes me carry them with me all the time! She wants me to be prepared if this kind of situation happened to me. She says that you can never be too careful!"

She took the test from me, retreated to one of the stalls in the bathroom, and locked the door behind her. A few minutes later, she came out with a horrified expression on her face. "It came out positive," she barely whispered, "I'm *gulp* pregnant!"

"Now, Cindy, those tests are only accurate 50% of the time. You need to see a doctor to be absolutely sure you're pregnant!" I told her.

"No way! To see a doctor means I'd have to tell my mom, and she'd have to drive me there! Uhn-UH! That's NOT gonna happen! I don't need a doctor; I need a scientist!" Cindy demanded, marching out of the bathroom with a determined expression. I followed her to make sure she didn't cause a commotion.

She walked up to the boys' cabin door and banged on it. Jimmy opened it and asked, "Cindy, is there anything I can do for you, sweetie?"

"You DID bring stuff to build an invention, didn't you?" she anxiously wanted to know.

"Of course, honey! Jimmy Neutron is ALWAYS prepared for whatever challenge he may face!" he informed her confidently and retreated to his hypercube to pull out supplies to invent something new. Within about 10 minutes, he came out and presented us with his newest invention. It looked like a hi-tech version of a magnifying glass.

"May I present: the Bio-Magnifier 3000! It can detect anything minute that may be wrong or different in the human body!" he added, then placed the device over Cindy's belly to be sure. A few moments later, he concluded, "This device never lies! Cindy, I'm afraid you are, indeed, pregnant!"

Then his face lit up and he proclaimed, "I'm gonna be a dad!!! I'm go-!!" But he was cut short because I'd covered his mouth and hissed, "Neutron, this is only between you, me, and Cindy! No one else can know about this!! Understood??"

"Sorry, Libby. I was just excited, is all," he quietly said, embarrassed.

"Well, can ya be excited and not tell anyone? Anyone, that is, except Carl and Sheen??" I sharply whispered.

"I understand, Libby. No one but us will know about this. MY lips are sealed!" Jimmy promised, his hand on his heart.


Told ya I'd explain the events in Chapter 2 in this chapter! Like I said before posting this chapter, you DON'T have to wait until I post another chapter to reply & talk about this fic! Discuss it all you want; just try to stay on topic, k? That's all I ask. Hope ya like it!
