(A/N: This goes into quite a bit of detail. I thought about Shok's backstory for a VERY long time, so...yeah. Enjoy!)

My name is Shok.

Back in the year 2308, The Swedish Institute Of Robotics was in a scandal. It was discovered that the institute had developed new technology, and were kidnapping children to test their discoveries. The institute was shut down for five years, until an anonymous group made a highly generous contribution of money, and the institute was re-opened in 2313.

I lived a sheltered life in the heart of Stockholm, Sweden, away from the heavy conflict striking the land of Neutronia. I was mostly sheltered because of my alibinoism, and the sun was deadly for my skin. My eyes were also a cause of unwanted attention; they were a deep, but bright shade of purple, a stark contrast to my pale skin and white-blond hair.

Stockholm was swept with a disease in 2320, which I later discovered was a combination of the viruses that caused cholera and influenza. Both my parents were killed, leaving me to wander the streets at the age of 5.

At the age of 6, I was taken off the streets by a scientist. She said I was "just the one they were looking for" and took me to an underground sector of the robotics institute. It was there that I became what you see today.

Now, what happened to me?
Well, the scientists performed surgery on my body, mostly on my face. They were testing new microchips they had developed that, when lodged under the skin, would allow for alteration of pigmentation of the hair cells, skin cells, and those in the irises of the eyes (the colored part). In short, I have the ability to change my external appearance. Thus, I have no "stable" appearance by which to identify me by.

I also discovered I had acquired an unexpected power. My microchips could conduct, store, and expel small amounts of electricity. In secret, I built my hematite wrist cuffs, one of the few identifying features about me.

Upon hearing of Neutronia and its conflict against the Overlord, I bid goodbye to Sweden with a heavy heart, and became a loyal subject of Queen Mara at the age of thirteen.

AND the alibinoism thing is real. A couple of people mistook me for an alibino as a little girl when my hair was white-blond and I was really pale all the time.
