I feel very strange, reading this topic. So many things could be said about you guys... and me too, I guess, because I understand all the inside jokes.

So, anyway, what this topic is about! I'm bringing it back with:

My EPIC Ideal Ending

Once Aurora gives the Dictator Jimmy the anitdote and he becomes Future Jimmy, he realises all the horrible things he has done and decides to make up for it by supplying all the hungry/poverty-ridden planets with all the chocolate milk and strawberries they could ever need. Then he professes his love for Aurora, and asks her to marry him. She says yes, and they get naked and jump into a bubble bath together to drink chocolate milk while washing each other's hair with strawberry-scented shampoo. Afterwards, they adorn matching pink bathrobes and skip off into the proverbial sunset while holding hands.

The rest of the TOSOT cast are just like, the whole time this is happening.

Here's MY ideal ending to TOSOT:

Once the antidote is given to DJ, he becomes FJ and at first, he feels incredible grief after realizing what he did, but younger Jimmy suggests he travel back to Earth with everyone, since all that was done there was delete everyone minus themselves, and advises him to go to his undamaged old lab, find the old Chrono-Arch, reactivate it, and go back in time to when Aurora(who was 11 at the time) sprayed the megalomanium into FJ's(11, as well) face. They do so, and JUST when young Aurora's about to spray young FJ with the megalomanium, older Aurora and FJ intervene, snatching the power-inducing serum out of her hand and throwing it out the window and it landing harmlessly on some flowers, which are then blasted to smithereens. Then they are inadvertently changed for the better, just in time to use the Chrono-Arch to go back to their time, where the Earth's inhabitants are still there and all's well in the universe, not to mention Nav is still alive(which I'm sure Athena would ADORE!! lol). Then FJ finds a replica of his old Chrono-Arch in his future lab and sends the kids back to where they came from. And once back home, young Jimmy destroys that infernal interdimensional triangle once and for all.

THE END.

That would be bizarre all right. It would render the whole story pointless. If there was a "reset" button, what would be the point of anything that happened in TOSOT? You could just go back in time and make it so that it never happened.

You know, I had this same idea not too long ago. But Mara's made a valid point; the whole idea of a "reset" button in my opinion is a little insulting to both the characters and the reader. What I mean by insulting is that you've pretty much revealed that you've been stringing everyone along, finally got bored with your own little charade, and ended it quickly so you can get back to watching reruns of Mythbusters and slurping up Ramen.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, it just doesn't lead to the reader have a fangasm and wishing they could kiss the author's feet for blessing the world with such a mindblowingly amazing work of literature.
