Yeah, Rachel makes great points.

I actually never said I didn't feel sorry for Lee. I do, a lot of the time I'll go "aww..." or "that's true love right there" I just don't want him and April together (though that may seem selfish and ashame). The reason I don't ship them is because I don't believe that she (April( loves him back the same way. I think for them, its cool that he was an old friend of hers, and would work that way, and he happened to have fallen in love w/ her since they were very young children, and its so sweet. But, wonder if it would really work out w/ them together. Maybe as a last resort...IDK. Kinda sad, but if she never knew all this time, sorta wrong. But I understand Lee being scared. He's sweet. ^_^

Anyway, I don't think she loves him the same way, but heck, could prove me wrong by at the end of the story she says she does and always has after he confesses--if he does. So, could be wrong there, but I don't think so. And,I think there could be SOMEONE else out there for him, somehow. May not be his first choice and true first love like April was and always will be, but still someone to take the place...
Just like with Nav. I mean, you think April was his first choice? I doubt it, but, that doesn't mean he isn't in love with her.

Plus, I think the way they met and fell in love was cool.

And, since April's my fav character, I like that she has a fiancee as cool as Nav. Neato. Nav the Numerian.

So, them together and him being a part of their little family ('cause face it, as long as the Dictator's around, Aurora's not gonna care) is so perfect! No matter what happens. You can say it :P

Now, the reason I still like and slightly ship Nav/Aurora is because I love and actually absolutely ADORE the idea of him saying he had a one-sided affection for her when the first met. Its so cool and funny, and fits the both of 'em. I can tell that she (Aurora) could tell that he felt somethin' for her, but doesn't really know he does not. LOL Its so cute. I mean, its really makes sense for him, and now that they're just like friends and he realized he could have her, its really an interesting concept for April to think of at the same time as Lee. I doubt the story would have any of that, but isn't it neat? Plus, they're sorta similar in a lotta way, like the fighting warriorness, determination, and free spirit that I see. And, he knows how to have fun on the job. What I love about him. :wub: That fact that he admired everything about her when he was stuck w/ her in the beginning is so cool. So, if she was who he would want, I like it!
Now he knows her SO well so its even more funny.

But, Nav/April is the best for me.
I do hope that Lee can at least tell April how he feels though, before anything happens.
Not that it would be romantic if say...*whispers* Nav dies :unsure: ...and Lee comforted April and found it his time to tell her the truth and they did end up in love and together, but...not my idea. Of course the whole story is fabulously written so it'll be amazing either way.

When I was reading TOSOT for the first time, and Lee was at the scene where he just told F. Libby that he loved April, I liked it. I was a little taken about 'cause I didn't expect it, though I knew they were good friends and he cared (although, I'm sure that if I was a character in the story growing up w/ 'em for all those years I would have noticed, LOL) but I did LOVE it! And, when I voted on the poll I had trouble voting, honestly. So, I guess I could say I wasn't ALWAYS against the pairing, and for the first few days I multishipped her w/ Lee/April and Nav. But, as I got really into it and more discussions, I changed my mind. So, I went and became an odd one w/ just Nav/Aurora *shrugs*

Now, its just Nav/April for me, and ya know, slightly Nav/Aurora :lol:

I find the April/Lee/Nav love triangle an essential and cool theme through out the story that I can't wait to see more of.

But, I can see Rach's, Sunny's, and other Lee/April shipper's points 'cause it is sweet and you're romantics. Haha.

So, I respect it and it actually makes a lot of sense. So I like to hear about how Lee's known her since childhood and should be w/ her and all that...haha.

And, that's pretty much that.

YES!! Nav available would be awesome, too...*stares dreamily at picture*

And, uh, we weren't talking about this, but I really don't have to say why I love FS/FL, now do I?

And, sorry how this started, but I thought I'd throw in my two cents there. Well, actually, that was probably a little more, but whatever.

Two cents?! Ha, yeah, girl, that was more like your buck fifty. ;D

But, good stuff, there. I respect Nav/April. Actually, I'm liking it more and more. I can accept it if they end up being together. Like I said, though, I always feel for the unloved characters. Romantic? Ha, yeah, I guess I am a bit of one. Ooops. I can't help it, though; I always feel their emotions. I know how desperate I'd feel in their situation. I just relate with them more easily. (Oh, dear!)

Though, I can admit, I don't necessarily see much hope for Lee/April. Lee loves her so much that you know he'd much rather suffer through anything than cause her even the slightest pain. And him barging in and telling her he loves her when she's engaged to Nav would definitely not be a smooth move. That would be one sure way to slap April right in the face. She'd hate to cause her childhood friend pain, I'm sure, so the last thing she'd want to hear before her marriage to Nav was that Lee was pining away for her. And Lee understands that. Besides, he sees how happy April is with Nav and doesn't want to try to steal her away from him. It's so sweet how unselfish his love is for her.

Still, I sort of think Lee is more the type to end up spending the rest of his life in the background, just offering what help to April that he can. Kinda like...Sydney in A Tale of Two Cities? [/random literary reference] But, you know the drill. Guys like that usually end up dying for their love or spending the rest of their lives lonely because they care so much. So, yeah, I can almost see things working out that way.

Except for the fact that Mara may find doing somehting along those lines too cliche. Plus, there's the fact that it looks like we could end up losing Nav. If we do that complicates matters even more!

As for Nav/Aurora, you know I love that pairing. Of course, DJ kinda tears that pairing apart. Not that Aurora and DJ will necessarily "get together", but we do know that deep down Aurora still has feellings for him... That makes Nav/Aurora almost impossible, I'd say. It would take a major turn-around between now and the ending to get Aurora to pair up with Nav, I'd say. And, of course, that would have to mean April ran off to Lee...or someone else, like Future Carl. O_o Kidding. But Nav/Aurora is still a fun pairing to ship, even if it probably won't happen. :D

LOL, while it's great you THINK this was like a 15 sec sketch, this took around an hour. I'm not a very quick artist, unfortunately.

Thanks for your suggestions about Lee; I agree with them. I'll make sure to change those things next time I draw him...

Thanks, Mara. I find it natural to color his lips a bit because at least mine look noticeably pink. Anyway, I made one mistake there, the top of his lips should be curved, not straight.

His blonde hair is just the way I saw it when I looked through his hair on the sketch. And his skin, and grey coat, and, wow. A perfect representation of the character in the story right from Mara's own design. I love it.
