W-what happened...?

We landed in Egypt but got hit by some heavy fire from a ship that was apparently operated by some of Eustace's men. I got us back into your jet and managed to take off and return fire, but they took out our engines. I'm sorry about that; I'm no pilot and I couldn't seem to evade their lasers.

Writer Woman was captured and taken aboard another ship and met with Eustace face to face...but he left her alone for some reason and she made her escape. When she arrived to help us, the other ship stopped firing at us and left. Why we aren't sure, but I'm rather suspicous about the whole thing.

Now Rat Lady and her party are setting off toward the tomb.

I think it's broken from the landing we had after parachuting out of that jet.

Ok, I think you'll be fine for now Spike. I think you should stay behind and take care of Issac, considering your ankle and because of your connection with the chest. I, on the other hand, feel like I need to be there to find it. We need to get it into the right hands.

*frowns slightly* Stay behind? But I thought you needed me to open the chest! And my ankle hardly hurts with this brace supporting it.

I feel a little nervous about you opening the chest, actually. We don't know if some kind of spell will take over you, making you use the chest for evil. And I'm needed in the tomb. Can you take care of Issac ok?

Well, Writer Woman has a point. I personally don't want to see the Chest opened in the tomb. I'd rather take it back to the labs to analyze before opening.

Someone really should stay with Isaac. Since you are injured, Spike, it makes the most sense for it to be you, just in case we get into a spot of trouble. I'm not sure how well that ankle will support you for running.

However, if you really want to come, you could...if we find someone else to stay with Isaac. I don't like the idea of leaving him alone after all that blood loss.

Sorry. I know how you feel. I always hate being left behind...

Unless you count my head and several veins. And a toe.

*pulls out a long, metal object resembling a skateboard without wheels*

A hoverboard! *drops it and watches it float in mid-air*

You can sit on it this baby and still maneuver it, right?
