Even though I was only 1 when it came out, it's wonderful!
It was nomanated for 6 Annie Awards...and won 2 of them (Lost the other 4 to "Hercuales")!
It had great music, a great plot! Adventure, humor, romance! The best movie ever!
My favorite character is Sawyer (Pretty much no duh there.) and my favorite song is "Tell Me Lies" (Duh  )
If you like this movie, please tell me! I don't know of a lot of CDD fans out there! There's gotta be some! (Sarah is on my DannyxSawyer site, I got Hugh to watch it, and April and Snazzo are going to watch it as soon as they can! And Beks watched it after many years!)

It's been SO long since I saw it though, but the most prominent scenes I remember is Sawyer in the office by the typewriter and dancing with Danny. I NEED to get a hold of this movie again

That's one of my favorite scenes! And you should see it again!
I watched it once in 2nd or 3rd grade and the only thing I remembered was the ending (All the posters and Darla Dimple as a janitor) and Danny's Arvial Song. But for like a whole year I wanted to see it again. I finally found it at the library, rented it for 3 weeks. But now I have it from netflicks (my grandma let me get it) and I'll probably get the DVD for Christmas...
Anyway, you should really see it again!

It's a animated movie from 1997, so it's kind of a classic, being around for 10 years.to tell you the truth, I've never even HEARD of it...
o:) Andre o:)
Actually, not many people have. It didn't do too well in theaters do to that movie "Heruales (I don't care if I spelled it wrong :protest:)" but it has a great plot, with lots of famous stars in it.
I'm on a mission to get everyone watching this movie! (And I'm doing pretty well too!) So far:
Hugh-got him to watch it on Youtube (I had no idea it was there...)
Sarah and Beka-They watched it again after years
April/Chica-Wants to see it
Snazzo-Should be coming next on Netflicks
I even got my family and friend to watch it. They all love it...
I'm completely in love with the movies and characters and voice actors and plot!
You should see it Andrea! EVERYONE SHOULD! =D

LOL! I'm glad I could help. :thumbsup:I watched the movie a long time ago, then I forgot about it, then you reminded me, and now I want to rewatch it. Right now, all I remember is a chase scene. Then something fell down and they starting singing.
You should see it again! It's a great movie and it needs to be known more. Which, is what I'm doing... (It's like a mission, kind of.)
I really hope you see it again! =D

LOL, I'm glad I got you to watch it. :P That's my job. :thumbsup:I really liked this movie. :D I might be way over the intended age limit but I still think it's really very good and deserved more recognition than it got. I didn't see neither it nor Hercules, so I didn't even know about it until dear Mizz Justine talked about it so much that I had to watch it. Anyway, besides a very great cast of characters and some awfully catchy songs, I really liked the animation. That's one thing that always attracts me to, well, animated things. I just loved the quirky but smooth movement of everything.
Cranston for the win. :D
Yes, I agree. The animation is AWESOME! I love in the song "Animal Jam Session" that when they got rhythm, they get brighter. Awesome song (heck, all the songs rock!)
Cranston is really funny. "Well it can't get any worse than this....I was wrong. It's worse." LOL!

Well, I just finished Cats Don't Dance.
-I went and rented it from Netflix because Justine said it was a good movie.
-Sadly, I had it like a week before I finally got around to watching it.
But Justine was absolutely right, it WAS a good movie. In fact, an excellent movie.
-Thank you Justine for telling me about it.
-I love animation of all kinds, and would have probably got to it eventually, but I'm glad to have seen it now.
-(Love Disney, Japanese animation, Wallace and Gromit, Pixar, Over the Hedge, Kim Possible, and - of course - Jimmy Neutron.)
I must talk a bit about it.
So I better put up a SPOILER ALERT.
-If you haven't seen the movie, and don't want to know more about it, stop reading now.
It had great songs, great characters, and great animation.
-Danny was good, but I liked Sawyer better.
-But you know who was my favorite? Max! When Danny started dancing "Meow!" and Max came crashing through the wall, stomping up to him, picked him high up into the air. "How does the kitty cat go?" ... "Meow?" Hee-hee!
The flood scene was well done.
I liked Darla's song, Big and Loud. That was nice and, well, evil. Flashing lightning, stretching shadows, diabolical laughter, maniacal looks, wild eyes. Spiffy!
I love the old Hollywood. Laurel and Hardy, the Brown Derby, WC Fields, the Chinese Theater, the trolley cars. And I'm not sure, but the restaurant the animals were at, Pinky's, might be a take on a real famous hot dog restaurant called Pink's.
The dancing was good. And Tell Me Lies was an excellent song.
I think it said something about thanking or being dedicated to Gene Kelly. I went to the Internet Movie Database to read about Cat's Don't Dance. A lot of good info, but I don't know what the Gene Kelly connection was.
I loved the epilogue, showing the animals starring in all kinds of movies. Superman, Beetlejuice, Batman and Robin, Twister, Casablanca, and all kinds of others. What a neat way to end the movie!
And I reckon that's it.
-Thanks a bunch Justine!

I was just watching the Sawyer's Songbook section. You know, the songs.
I like the one where Danny gets the animals to start singing, dancing, and playing instruments. "Animal Jam Session" I think its called.
-I like how the animals, like Sawyer at her typewriter, brightened in colors.
-And I especially like how Max began to dance a little. Boogie down Max!
Just saying!

Wow, I am so glad you liked it! I told you it's a great movie! And no problem about telling you about it! (HeHe, I'm tellin' everyone about it...)
As for Gene Kelly, he was the one that helped on the Choreography. Without him, the movie would have just been "Cats Don't Sing" which doesn't have a catchy ring.
He died, before the movie premiered, so they dedacated it to him. it was his last movie. Gene Kelly did so well with the Choreography!!!
And I just LOVE Tell Me Lies and Animal Jam Session! (Heck, I love all the songs) <3
Well, thank you for telling me what you thought of it Snazzo! I am so glad you liked it! ^_^
