ok, I'm going to do this totally unplanned, unprepared, and off the spot. I'm doing a winter/christmas themed oneshot right now, before I forget!


Eating a Christmas Pie


Hugh Neutron woke up one morning to the tempting smells and clanging sounds of the kitchen downstairs. He flopped clumsily out of bed, and as he stretched, his nose got a whiff of the tantalizing smells from the kitchen.

"Mmmm! Pie! Oh boy, does that smell good! I wonder what...apple, no blackberry, no..." He gave a big sniff. "Boysenberry! My new favorite!...But Sugar Booger never bakes this early...unless..." He looked at the calender on the wall.

"Oh, It's Christmas! Yepee! Oh, Christmas pies, here I come!" He ran down the stairs, and almost bumped into Jimmy.

"Oh, sorry there Jimbo. Whatcha got there?" He eyed the shiny gizmo in Jimmy's hand.

"Oh, it's the present Santa got me this year." He held it up. It looked like Jimmy's shrink ray, only it was red, green, and gold, and a pair of crossing candy canes decorated the back. "He said it was a Christmas ray. It turns anything you point at it, festive. Here let me show you." He pointed it at the bust standing on the mantel. In a flash of red and white, the bust had on a Santa hat and beard.

"Ooo, that's neat Jimbo!" Hugh said. Jimmy grinned up at his father. "Yeah, and watch this. It can do people too." Pointing it at Hugh, he pressed the button. Instantly, Hugh's mallard pajamas were replaced by new ones, a pattern of red and green ducks on it. Hugh pulled out a candy cane from his shirt pocket. "Well that's just cool, Jim Jam. You've got to show that to you mother, oh..." he said, remembering. "Speaking of my little Sugar Booger, I'm gonna see her about a pie."

He walked into the kitchen and found three steaming pies on the cooling rack on the counter. Edging towards them, he reached for one of the fresh pies. But as he was in reach, a hand smacked his away.

"Now now, honey. You should know better." Judy Neutron said.

"Aw, but Butter Biscuit..." Hugh said, his eyes pleading.

"Don't you Butter Biscuit me, mister. Remember your condition."

"My condition?" Hugh asked, completely baffled.

"Don't you remember, honey? Your doctor said after that last visit to the emergency room, you couldn't eat pie anymore."

Hugh's face paled as he stared shock at his wife. He looked up at the ceiling.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!"


He sat straight up in bed, covered in sweat. Feeling his face, he slowly calmed down. "Shew! What a nightmare. I've gotta..." He smelled deeply. "Mmmm! Pie!"

Way ta go, Beks!!!! :D I especially liked how Hugh's pjs still had ducks, even when they were Christmas-themed. ^_^

I'd like to get brainstorming as soon as possible because I missed the last two month's challenges. :unsure: :ph43r: It seemed like January came too fast, I had a Christmas one-shot started, but I didn't get around to finishing it... Well, in any case... January Challenge?

CHALLENGE FOR JANUARY
Write a oneshot from any of the gang's POV. Pairings aren't required, but you can use anything you like. Deadline is January 31st.
