Reviving yet again! It goes Sheen, Libby, Carl, Jimmy, and Cindy, in that order. In a previous post, someone in IDOJ's early years said the youngest is also the smartest, which would mean Cindy in the case of JN, but it's clearly stated in the series by Beautiful Gorgeous in Operation: Rescue Jet Fusion that Jimmy has an IQ of 210, and that makes him the smartest. The whole friggin' series is named after him, for cripe's sake, and so is the movie! The creators made him the smartest for a reason... Just cuz someone's the youngest doesn't necessarily mean that person is by default the smartest...
He has his own lab and creates his own inventions, and dominates Cindy in many academic pursuits, ch-YEAH!! That makes him my fave character, of course!
He's pretty cute in a tux in the show, though I bet he'd be super handsome in a tux as an adult!! ![]()

I have several things to say in response to the above comment -
1. With all your obsessing over tux Jimmy you sound a lot like Cindy in "Spy Wedding" lol!
2. No one would debate Jimmy's status as the main character in Jimmy Neutron, but although he is the one who's always inventing things, I can see why someone would argue Cindy is smarter than him, because while Jimmy is very book-smart, he lacks logic; it seems he is incapable of thinking things through, and even when he does, he usually makes some sort of major mistake (like when he forgot Retroville in Holly, Jolly Jimmy).
3. Cindy could probably invent things if she wanted to, but because she is more logical than Jimmy her inventions would probably do what they're supposed to and so there wouldn't be an interesting cartoon premise.
4. Back on topic - that birth order makes a lot of sense, because even though Jimmy and Cindy are the youngest, they're also the most childish in a lot of ways. Libby being the oldest besides Sheen makes a lot of sense.

Well except for TSFA where her invention has to be fixed by Jimmy for the sweater to be successfully made, but it’s her first invention we’ve seen and it only needed that minor fix to work and initially win. If she did do more inventions she probably has a better attention to detail to make sure all the quirks work. Whether that would be ‘entertaining’ and interesting would be another matter.

In terms of social skills (except her less than optimal inability to lie convincingly) Cindy absolutely surpasses Jimmy, which most of them realise.
Their childishness does fit their status as the youngest charcters, I’d agree.
Apart from Libby’s obsession with music, which you could even argue makes her more ‘Sophisticated’, you could easily tell she’s the oldest besides Sheen for sure with her overall maturity and more level-headedness.
