Finally...done...Chibi...Aurora!!!



Phew, it was a huge effort, with tons of revisions and trial and error, but here it is...the 4th in our chibi collab! Although, admittedly, I got a bit carried away with this one and pretty much changed Krista's whole design. Oops. I won't be doing that again in the future.

This was a bit of a design challenge for myself; I wanted to give Aurora a new outfit but still retain her overall appeal. Plus, I wanted it to be a fun piece as well. And lo and behold, here's the result. You can see her customary silver tubing under her clothes, of course, since I've mentioned that the blue fabric can be retracted but the metallic tubing remains -
Hee hee, the tattoo was an idea that both Krista and I had at the same time, and I'm fairly pleased with how it came out. I must have drawn that miserable little sucker 5 times before getting it right.
You may have noticed that I chose the same color scheme as Cindy's N-Men outfit. Intentionally, of course. Except I added camo. Camo rocks.
The dripping rose in the background was a last minute touch. There's just something about Aurora that reminds me of a red rose - defiance - the color of blood, the prick of thorns. Anyway, tell me (us) what you think!

Ooh, nice one, you two! This just might be my favorite out of all of 'em so far. :D I love the tattoo--and the pants. And her expression and the background are both really great, too!

I see Mara's got an obsession going on with looking-from-behind or just angled poses. :P Mara, I'm not meaning to sound like a suck-up, but you really are getting better and better. It's fun to compare your old art to your new art because I can really see the distinctive change and improvement.

P.S. I'm in LOVE with Aurora's sketch just for the picturelikealliteration towards the famous comedy and tragedy masks (even though there's obviously a difference in emotions).

I love looking at your art! Post more if you can. ^_^

Dude it HAS been a side/back pose week for me. I don't know why but I'm suddenly obsessed with drawing people from the back. It's just so...FUN! :lol:

The mask idea, tragically, was not mine. It was recommended to me by someone on DA. Nevertheless, I really like the picture. And I'm glad it freaked you out, Rachel (LOL). It's supposed to be a tad unsettling (and symbolic).

Personally though I'm just in love with the Libby sketch (as usual). She is just so darn CUTE you can't help but want to cuddle her. Although I can't help thinking that Sheen would pass out if he saw her in that outfit... ;)
