Since it's been revived I'll do it as well:
Hint 1: I think the reason why I zeroed in on this as well is that the usual expression is "My mom's gonna kill me for this" (I can even picture Jimmy saying that), but I still think she just means it in that sense. Because Cindy is intelligent she may like to use more formal language ("murder").
Hint 2: I really think they were just playing up the sappiness of the moment here. In "The Tomorrow Boys" Libby said "That's the greatest gift anyone's ever given me", and nobody makes a big deal about that one.
Hint 3: "Stranded" isn't an original episode. It is a very, very good episode, but it is not very original. The "island romance" is a classic storytelling trope used since ancient times, and in it one of the lovers (typically the female) wishes they could stay forever.
I actually feel the opposite about Cindy's mom. I think that she's probably a very smothery parent who makes Cindy very special. One thing I realized is Cindy doesn't do a whole lot of bluffing as she does truly believe she is right most of the time (Like in WLK!, when she wanted to vote Jimmy out) and she was probably very sheltered from the dangers of the world, which was why she was so much more freaked out about being stuck on the island than Jimmy. I also see her as being very spoiled and the Vortexes as being a very affluent family compared to the Neutrons, a relatively modest family.
And on Hint 2, I think, if anything, we can infer more about her relationships with other children. In "Cindy Character Discussion" I described how I feel she descended in popularity as the series went on, which is why she usually only spends time with Libby and gets closer to the three boys towards the end of the series.
I think the main point of the episode was to humanize Cindy so we would stop thinking of her as Jimmy's bully and more as an insecure closet nerd.
Thank you for coming to my TEDTalk.
