OMG! That was totally awesome! AprilxLee is a good couple!Quoted from an earlier question about Gorlock courtship rituals, as answered by Lee: Courtship is similar to that of humans, with excessive flattery, gift-giving, and life-or-death duels. However, if the affection is one-sided, or if one rejects the other's marriage proposal, the couple must proclaim this fact to the village and send out invitations to the "Makrii"...which is basically a fight in which the two lovers are pitted against one another. The battle is dramatic and many people come to watch...and the winner of the match determines whether the marriage will take place or not. So, if a male loves a female but she does not love him back, he can proclaim his love and challenge her to a Makrii. If he wins, she MUST marry him. If he loses, then the crowd disbands and she is free to go. This arrangement works splendidly and there are usually no hard feelings.
...So, I kind of figured that Lee (who's always had a hard time getting up the balls to tell April his feelings), would just up and challenge her to a Makrii one day. She'd be all like"You want to marry me??" and he'd be all like "just come to the Makrii". April, of course, would be mystified, but would show up to the fight out of a sense of duty. Then, in the ULTIMATE PLOT TWIST, Lee would actually WIN the fight by employing a clever strategy to outsmart April rather than beat her by brute force (which he never could've done anyway). Stunned, April would be honor-bound to marry him...but he'd take her aside afterward and be all like "listen, the wedding is off, but I couldn't think of any other way to express my intentions". He'd then proceed to confess the whole 9 yards and leave her to think it over. And, from that point on, April would start to see him as being potentially more than a friend.
A year or so later...WUUUUUV, TWUE WUUUUUV
Then, after they got married, Lee would proceed to finally decipher the lost Gorlock writing system mentioned in Volume 4, becoming quite famous in the process (maybe FJ helped on the sly - I always kinda pictured them becoming secret pen pals down the road. Don't know why). April'd be super impressed and probably offer to do naughty, naughty things to him, but Lee's a good boy and would be all like
THE END

1. Do FS and FJ have any reconciliation? of course FS can't forgive DJ for what he did, but how does their relationship pan out?
2. Do Aurora and April ever reconcile? *crosses fingers*
3. Do FJ and Aurora ever go to Earth to see FS/FL?
4. Does FJ just completely desert Carl? It would be so sad for him to be excluded from all this..
5. Have a field day with this one (it's all the JC fangirl in me!
How does Jimmy and Cindy's first amendment lab date go?

I've always had the idea that Aurora and FJ would do all their good works in disguise, assuming a new identity on each planet they visited. People would never be able to handle the truth that the Dictator had been reformed (they probably would refuse help from him if he offered it), so the best way to help the largest number of people would be to just...lie. LOL. My guess is that Aurora, master of propaganda that she is, would give the public exactly what they want: she and FJ would work out a way to stage his (fake) execution, with Aurora playing the role of executioner. FJ certainly has enough money to buy off the news media to paint the whole thing as this "big revelation", where everyone finds out that Aurora was actually working a covert one-man op to bring down the Dictator all along. Thus, DJ would be officially bumped off and the public would be satisfied, Aurora would get some of her reputation back, and she would announce her official resignation from the military and intent to live a quiet life. Poof! They would be free to go about their business. How long did it take for the whole galaxy to learn of the dictator's defeat? What was the outcome of it all and how is everything rejuvinating with Aurora and Future Jimmy's mission?

Dude, you're one of the few people who could competently write Future Jimmy going through the delayed puberty that any sequel would inevitably include. Still, don't try it. Lawds. Do your NaNoWriMo like a good writer

It pans out...awkwardly. They both kind of put up with each other because their mutual chicas are bffs, but I can't picture them being all buddy-buddy ever again. However, I think once FS's life improves (which it will...a lot), he'll feel less animosity towards FJ. So there's hope1. Do FS and FJ have any reconciliation? of course FS can't forgive DJ for what he did, but how does their relationship pan out?
They definitely end up being back on speaking terms with each other, if that's what you mean. They might even call on each other for support on their respective missions from time to time, but they never go back to being super-tight battle buddies again. Aurora does go to April's wedding (in disguise, of course), so their friendship doesn't totally go to hell in a handbasket2. Do Aurora and April ever reconcile? *crosses fingers*
Yes.3. Do FJ and Aurora ever go to Earth to see FS/FL?
No, he doesn't just desert him, although I actually may write this into the Carl-meets-Laudya short I promised Jessi, so I'll leave the details out for now.4. Does FJ just completely desert Carl? It would be so sad for him to be excluded from all this..

So, no more public enemy number 1 for Aurora anymore then?I've always had the idea that Aurora and FJ would do all their good works in disguise, assuming a new identity on each planet they visited. Maybe, maybe not. I'm sure a large number of people would still resent her for not doing the "execution" through official channels. After all, if she killed him personally, she would rob the public of their chance to interrogate/torture/enact revenge on him. What if some dude killed your family, and you desperately wanted revenge on him, but some other random chick took out the killer before you could? You might feel a bit gypped. So, no more public enemy number 1 for Aurora anymore then?
I get the feeling that no matter what Aurora does in the matter, she's still gonna come out looking self-motivated and crooked. Plus, remember, she's done a lot of other nasty things over the years that people ignored because of her status as a high-ranking rebel fighter. Once the unifying threat disappears, people might not heap on the praise quite so fervently.

RESURRECTED BECAUSE GODDAMN THIS EXPOSÉ IS AMAZINGAs I am Dictator Jimmy, I feel I'm a pretty decent source of insight into Dictator Jimmy.
DJ is just a very rational being, and acts very rationally if you consider how his mind works now. The megalomanium has altered his mind into not needing the things a normal person does. He has lost the desire for companionship, for example. So it would be irrational for him to spend time trying to build up any relationships in his life that actually touch him emotionally, because those emotions are things he essentially does not have anymore. The only reason for others to exist in his life, are to be useful to him.
We all want to be in control. We all want more control in our lives. If you take away the emotional side of us, the side that allows for empathy, it is easy to see how anyone could become like DJ. He has no empathy. He has a big brain, that can imagine how others might feel about something, but their emotions never really touch HIS emotional core anymore. He just registers them in his mind, to file away for future use. I wouldn't say he hates everything. Just regards everything as parts of his lab kit. Things he can use. And for those things that he can't use, or that would potentially mess up his experiments, he gets rid of.
He uses science, because it works for him. Science is a very logical process. It is strict, rational, and pretty effective. However, it is continuously advanced not because of its rationality or logic, but because of the driving force behind it all: curiosity.
Jimmy Neutron is a ridiculously curious person. That has been transformed a bit in DJ, but not at all lost. DJ still wants to learn everything he can about the universe. His drive for absolute control then uses what he learns to be a more effective dictator. He knows, rationally, that too much curiosity can get a person into trouble, and so he tempers it. However, curiosity is also the key to unlocking new questions to pursue, and so it is something he cannot take out of himself entirely, or else he would no longer be advancing his knowledge.
Keeping curiosity in check is a major issue for DJ, I feel. Besides his ego, this is the one last part of him that could really turn treacherous. It could be his downfall.
For example, "Aurora's Capture". His ego and curiosity led him unlock his prisoner from her chains, though I would argue it was his curiosity leading the charge more than his ego.
His ego said to himself "I know what she will do, there is no way she will try to escape". But...if he KNEW, then why test it? He could argue it was because he wanted the satisfaction of crushing Aurora's spirit more, to enact more control over her. However, there were other ways to do that. Other ways to crush her or control her without risking escape. Even his ego wouldn't let DJ take THAT big of a risk, when he wasn't certain of the variables.
I think it came down to curiosity. He just had to see what would really happen. He DOESN'T know everything, but he wants to. So he experiments.
Hypotheses can be disproved. Someday, even with all the intellect in the universe, DJ will come up against something that does not fit with his hypothesis. It is inevitable. And with the large-scale experiments DJ tends to run, on living beings, solar systems, galaxies...a wrong hypothesis could be a SERIOUS problem for him. That is what I predict would be his downfall.
That is, unless he somehow magically gets sprayed by an antidote to the megalomanium. *chuckles at the preposterous thought* Psh, like anyone else would be smart enough to come up with an ANTIDOTE.
As to the sexless thing...yeah. He's very emotionally cold, and he is too intelligent to allow for physical desires to ever enact any control over him.
I do love being DJ. I'm like him in very odd ways. And plus, there is the whole, ruling the universe aspect. That rocks, too.

lol anyway I've spent like the last 2 hours going through this topic (all the way back to 2008!) in an effort to update the Q&A section of TOSOT. It's kind of amazing how hilarious some of the conversations are. Also hilarious is the fact that I just skipped over answering a ton of questions for no discernible reason.
Way to go, Mar.
