Posting this from my pre-loaded with Windows 8, Overridden with Windows 7, but currently dual-booted into Ubunuto 12.04 laptop... still having issues getting wireless and blu-ray to work.

been having issues with my new computer ever since I got it back at Easter.. tried putting a different operating system on it yesterday to help debug, but after several hours' effort, I still failed... still running only windows 8

You're best bet is to emulate the OS .ISO and find what settings you should adjust from there.
