Newest bit of medical schwag: an inhaler. I now have asthma. It developed with the hives. Ibuprofen, why did you ever have to exist? You've really made a mess of my life.

    into mast cell overdrive. I'm doing all the food diet tests now to see if that is behind this (if the ibuprofen diagnosis is wrong). Then if nothing with food does anything, I move onto chemical tests (removing soaps, shampoos, etc, one by one). But the allergist has already tested for environmental triggers (things I could be inhaling), and I seem totally fine with all that stuff. So yeah. No easy answer here. I'm definitely not giving up on trying to pinpoint the answer, but in 90% ...

    of cases like mine, no answer is ever found. Lovely statistic, I know. My best deduction right now is that my body is just freaking the hell out and has basically decided to become allergic to itself after the trauma of the repeated ibuprofen exposures. That may sound silly, but it is actually quite common. It's an autoimmune problem.
