Betty fanclub contests!

Fan-art contest: Half-inspired by a pic on DA, but its a little too *ah-hem* "frisky", (& PG-rated) for this site to be posted here, I've decided to create a contest for Betty's presumed adult form!
Since we have NO idea what any of her older selves might look like, (apart from our own imagination) this has a pretty much ENDLESS oppertunity for drawing skills here.
Details: a full-body (where you can see from her head to her shoes) artwork would definitely be cool, & also, while coloring isn't necessary, it'll easily help with your points. Try to keep her G-rated of course & don't go too far with certain areas either. Just cause she's Lindberg's popular girl, that doesn't mean she'll be a supermodel or anything.
Career: The all-important career choice. Has she become a nurse, or something completely new in that time? Remember, whether she marries Jimmy or not, he'll still probably benefit all man-kind with his genius, & of course that means new job potentials. ;)
Personality: I think you guys know this by default, lol. & would her love life affect her personality? Just how mature will she have grown, & what are her relations to the other characters at this point?
Special points awarded for the following: Cindy & her have establised some type of mutual relationship; her husband is named; (it can be an OC if Jimmy absolutely has to be with Cindy) & whether she has children or not, & if so, how many & who the father is. (of course, it'd naturally be her husband, but there's the chance she might not have even gotten to marry the father before whatever happened.
=============================
A second contest is the all important fanfiction! What type you ask?
"In character, NO N/Betty fanfics!"
Preferrably chapter length, but one-shots are awesome too.
The idea is to simply create the opposite of that junkpile that is JN fics on ff.net. There are probably some good fics there, but apart from Krista's & Lonestarr's, (a member to FF.net & DA as Lonestarr357) there are NO honest Betty fanfics, & especially no Betty fic there is without its accompaynied Nick/Betty couple. ICK! Keith said so himself that N/Betty would never happen, so what's the point of pairing him up with Betty anyways? They oughta just make her an OC for cryin' out loud!
*ah-hem* sorry about the rant, it just really gets to me when those writers over there, Krista & Lonestarr excluded obviously, just flat out abuse Betty's character & shove her out with Nick so they can be supermodels or super-star actress & actor. <_<
Anyways, extra points will be given for the following: Betty's completely in-character, as she has been in PaN & ODS; Nick is paired up with Brittney; Betty ends up with either Jimmy or a deserving OC if its JC based; the more chapters the better; Cindy & Betty become at least semi-friends, or at the VERY least gain a mutual understanding of each other; even if J/B don't get together, Betty at least establishes a firm friendship with Jimmy; & Betty only has the Mary-Sue traits that she had in the PaN & ODS episodes, no additional ones thank-you.
10 point bonus if its a J/B fic! (permanent couple in the fic)
That's all of 'em for now. I'll wait till these are over with before I make any new ones. :)

But for the fanart, maybe two to three week from now should be fair enough. :)
& for prizes, the only ones I can think of are first view rights to my sims 2 J/B screenshots, &/or a custom banner of your choice made by Krista, who just said over YIM that she'd probably be able to do so.
But for creative prizes, I don't have anything yet, since I don't have that type of creativity in me, its used towards other things probably, (like Jimmy's is his inventions in place of the typical creativity ^_^)
& another prize I can think of is hosting it on my J/B site as well, but all fics will go there by default, so I don't think that could count as a prize. =/
Well, that's all I have right now. ^_^

OK, here's my entry:

Image details: OK, let me begin by saying that it is REALLY hard not to go all out when drawing Betty and turn her into this curvaceous babe with pouty lips and gorgeous hair. I made a really conscious effort to tone down her looks...she IS a professional, after all. She's at work, not out for a night on the town. So, I put her hair up, gave her an outfit that hides her shape a bit, and stuck a pencil in her bun, LOL. I couldn’t resist giving her some strappy heels though…I admit it, I LOVE shoes. ^_^ And hey, she’s an attractive adult woman, and she can wear heels if she darn well wants to!
Stats:
Age: 23
Hair: Brown (duh)
Weight: Unspecified. Do you really need to know??
Pets: Fluffy white kitty = ^.^ = named Yuri (Lily in Japanese)
Favorite colors: peach and pink, but she also has a soft spot for baby blue.
Favorite Holiday: Christmas
Career: Yes, I've always thought this, and I'm sticking with it: Betty works as an R.N. (that’s registered nurse, for those of us who are abbreviation-challenged). Incase any of you weren’t aware of this, it is VERY hard to become a nurse…the schooling is incredibly rigorous, and next to becoming a doctor, it’s one of the hardest careers to pursue. The good news is, it pays top dollar LOL. Not that Betty is in it for the money – she works at a children’s hospital and is the favorite nurse among the kids. She truly loves her work and will do anything for her patients... and thanks to new biotech innovations by scientists (like Jimmy) she is able to save nearly all the kids who come into the hospital.
Personality and circumstances: Sweet, caring, down-to-earth, intuitive...you know the drill. She makes quite a good deal of money and lives comfortably, giving the rest away to charity. She does have a bit of a weakness for pretty jewelry, and the little girls at the hospital always oooh and awww at her necklaces and earrings. Sometimes Betty will bring extra jewelry with her, which she gives to kids that don't feel confident about the way they look because of their illnesses.
Romance etc. Betty is a confident, independent young woman with a successful career. She's not quite ready to get married yet: after all, there's more to life than just finding a man ;) Because of her good looks guys tend to hit on her a lot, but she usually politely turns them down. Secretly she'd like to rekindle things with Jimmy, but ever since she gave Cindy the "go ahead" years before she's felt like Jimmy is no longer interested in her, even if Cindy is no longer in the picture. She's searching for the right time to tell him how she feels, but it is NOT easy to get an appointment with him these days. After all, he is ridiculously famous and busy traveling all over the world. She hasn't seen him since they graduated high school and is desperate just to see him again and try to explain herself, but his massive fame and crazy smarts are a little indimidating...she keeps asking herself: what if he's changed? What if he no longer likes me? Well Betty, what are you waiting for? Jeez girl, call him! ;) Otherwise, you'll never know.
Relationship to other characters In a surprising twist of fate (perhaps having something to do with the guidelines for this contest  ), Cindy and Betty's paths crossed in an unusual way during Betty's first months as a nurse. When Betty was falsely accused of malpractice, Cindy (who is now a lawyer) defended Betty in court and helped get her acquitted. The two women, while not "friends" per se, now enjoy meeting up from time to time to discuss their jobs and life in general.
Um, well, my wrist is beginning to cramp from composing her LIFE STORY here, so I'm gonna go ahead and push the submit button. Hope you like it

LOL, well to be a LITTLE more professional, (seriously, when I get hyper like this, it is REALLY hard to be professional for anything! lol)
I do adore the pic, & she's JUST right in terms of her figure & shape, FAR better than that "other" adult pic of her on DA, it was "alright", but WAY too "frisky" for my tastes. ^^;
Her life story: BEYOND AWESOME, & bonus for the J/B hintage towards her future! I just love the idea of her being a nurse, & the sims 2's idea of a nurse must be completely different, it's only on step number 3 of the medicene career in the game, even WITH college degrees from the university pack.
Anyhoo, I especially like that both Cindy & Betty finally enjoy each other's company, & can at least stand each other, lol. & my other main fave of this entry is the description of her career, it fits her SO perfectly its just the good version of irony, lol. & How'd ya know I was a cat lover? That makes it that much cooler! ^-^
P.S.~ Speaking of sims 2, the facial features you gave her, AND the hairstyle are ALL available for female characters in the sims 2 game! they gotta be full grown adults or young adults (exclusive to University), but the hairstyle & facial features ARE available there.
I might just try doing a version of this pic in the game itself! & the story as well, though I might give J/B a little head start as teens, lol. otherwise, IDEAL for what I had in mind for the JB series I had posted sometime back, this would easily take place after the intial series, but hopefully the college & its epilogue has some relation to this entry too, so who knows? whoever wins, this entry might easily be referenced near the end of the series. ^-^
To other contestents: Don't be discouraged, I want everybody who feels like entering to enter this contest! I think I'll probably be happy with any entry for it, & I'll definitely give everyone a chancewith winning, so no worries!
It just so happened that mara's idea for ome reason happened to match the idea of what I had in mind soon after the college fic, only way more JB included, lol. & the college fic: yes, Betty WOULD go, after all, you gotta go to college to be a nurse, don't ya? But of course I'd include the rest of the JN gang too! maybe not Nick or Brittney, but yeah. You guys get the idea, lol.

I don’t want to reveal too much, but Betty does play a significant romantic part in this Fan Fic. I’ll send it to you first for the “J/B” stamp of approval of course…

Secondly, the rules -
You can add new characters into the story, but unless they have a good reason to be such, or develop into a better character throughout the story, then you should try to avoid Mary Sue type characters. Girls & boys alike.
For how to send the fanfictions to me? Easy.
Either use your fanfiction.net account & post your story there, & show me the link to it here, or use the web site e-mail address from my J/B fansite.
That is: nekogirl001@aol.com
I prefer that you do not send the story through PM, because I try to save the space for regular messeges, but don't worry, if you already have (such as SLFOREVER did), then its not big deal. Just be sure to use either my e-mail or fanfiction.net. Preferably ff.net, because Betty needs all the honest, IC fanfics on that site she can get. She deserves a better reputation there ya'know.
E-mail submissions are fine, but ff.net ones are preferred, & SLFOREVER, I loved your fanfic so far, it sounds pretty good!
Also, for those new to the writing scene, I will let spelling errors slide, as when you first start writing, it pretty much can't be helped, but the less amount of spelling errors the better just the same, since it makes the story easier to read. :)
But still, those first starting out with this as their first, or relatively first fanfiction, then try not to worry too much about spelling issues, because while this is important, the plotline, how IC Betty is, & how you develop the story are the key-points to winning this contest. ^_^
And as stated before, this does NOT have to be Jimmy/Betty, my only request is that Nick/Betty is not used as much as you possibly can. If its to develop the story into J/B later on, or Betty gets a much better boyfriend later, then this will not be counted against your score.
But as Nick/Betty is 1) not going to happen, 2) not preferred in any way, shape, or form by the contest creator (me), then unless it has some significance to the story, you will be counted against for this in the final desicion.
This is overruled only by the event that the pairing develops the plotline in some form, & Betty at least dumps Nick & any ideas of "Betty Dean" from her mind by the end of the story. :)

So here it goes, my Future Betty contest Entry!

General:
Age: 28
Eyes: Brown, no glasses
Hair: Dark Brown/Black, very short and very layered, an awesome and funky hairsyle :D
Body structure: Rectangle (skinny, shoulders and hips same width, not a lot of curve)
Various Favourites: Purple (colour), Chicken Teriyaki (food), India (place/culture), Macbeth (play), William Golding (author), The Lord of the Rings (films), Queen (music), similarily "Somebody To Love" (song, by Queen), October (month), Pine Needles (smell)
Appearance: Like some of the features stated above... Despite the fact that her parents both wear glasses, Betty still has perfect vision and doesn't need to wear them. She's a pretty small person, with a small bone structure and not too many curves. But she is still feminine. She has very fair skin, big feminine eyes and her signature beauty mark above her lip. Her style is fairly mainstream, with a lot of simple jeans and t-shirts, but she likes to add her own touch, like a funky hat, or wacky jewelary. Her hair is still short, like it was all throughout her youth. She tried growing it past her shoulders once, but it felt like it was always getting in the way, so she's kept it above the shoulders ever since. Plus, her very short (but equally awesome) hairstyle makes her various roles flexible, and wigs are very easy to sport.
Career: Betty is now a proffesional actress. She mostly performs Shakespeare in Stratford, Canada, but she's tried out a couple other roles. But her favourite is definitely Shakespeare. Her favourite play is Macbeth because the representation of woman is amazing (Lady Macbeth), especially for the time it was written in. Lady Macbeth is her own woman, has so much power, and actually tells the MEN what to do (mostly Macbeth...). Not only that, but it reminds her of her first real role in theatre, when she was in elementary school. It was an incredibuly false representation of Shakespeare and Macbeth, but it was fun all the same and it was a great start for her. Plus, it reminds her so much of her childhood crush, Jimmy Neutron. She was young, but it was probably the best romance she ever had, besides the one she's currently in.
Romance: Even though nothing really HAPPENED technically with Jimmy, it was the best crush she ever had. He was smart, nice, interesting, cute... But something never had a chance to happen, because Betty and Jimmy went to different high schools (Jimmy went to the public school, while Betty went to a special art school). They saw each other occasionally, but they grew apart. Before Betty knew it, she had little of her old school life left. But she didn't forget it, nor did she forget Jimmy. He always had, and still does, have a special place in her heart. Betty has heard of him being very successful in the scientific world, and she knows she could see him again, but she's afaid of two things: that he'll have forgotten about her and/or stopped caring about her, or that they'll get along so well that she'll fall for him again and completely mess up the relationship she's in right now. Currently, she's with another Shakespearian actor, who's name is Luke Sanders. He's as great a guy as Jimmy (but replace the science knowledge with artist talent ;) ), but something actually happened between them and they've been dating for 2 and a half years. He's a wonderful guy and she's so lucky to have him, and she knows it. With this knowledge, she thinks she'll be able to see Jimmy again and keep her current relationship, but she definitely knows it won't be easy.
Other relationships: She hasn't seen much of anybody from Lindenburg, but she has had a couple encounters. A couple years ago, during the festival, she saw Sheen in a coffee shop. Both of them had a couple hours, so they had a coffee and caught up on everything. Sheen had a lot of news and gossip about the old gang, and it was really great to see an old friend. Then, a few months ago, when Betty was visiting her parents in Retroville, she ran into Cindy. Betty had long grown out of any "rivalries" but she was scared that Cindy hadn't. However, she couldn't be so wrong. Cindy was very happy to see her, and they went to visit their old school and the Candy Bar together while catching up the whole way. It was refreshing to get along so well with her. They also talked about Jimmy, but there was no hostility or jealousy, which was great. Cindy talked about Jimmy in a very fond tone, but Betty didn't ask if anything was happening between them. A part of her didn't want to know. Overall though, it was wonderful to see her again.
Picture details: Just a little side note about the drawing... Her left hand is on her hip, but her position makes it a little hard to make out... It's a weird perspective, but if you keep in mind that her hand is on her hip, so her arm is bent and sticking out, then it makes a little more sense. Also, I wanted to capture her as best I could, so I decided to keep it in Black and White, like traditional profiles of Actors. I thought it would support and fit in with her life/personality, and make it look more like I took a picture from a play she was in and her real life, rather than just drawing her. As you can see, she's wearing spandex, so she can wear and change costumes efficiantly. Also, she's wearing Shakespearian shoes.
And that is my NOVEL about Betty in the future! In short: she's awesome. :D
