Seth iz gett'n roleplay back...hopefully....

 

Anyways, after reading through a bunch of old roleplay topics, I remebered that I really enjoyed roleplaying. Seeing as how many other topics are old and there really hasn't seemed to be an active one for a long time, why not start with something fresh...and new.

 

A researching scientist is trying to find out a way to make half animal humans and cyborgs. Armed with only a hover car, Jimmy, Cindy, Sheen, Libby, and Carl are on their own to protect Retroville with no inventions and even only a damaged Goddard against maybe not their most dangerous, but definitely most twisted enemy.

 

RULES: No emoticons for characters, but posting in a color that fits them is totally acceptable.

 

Try to keep the characters in character. This is a much more serious subject matter, but they are still around the same age they were in the show. Sheen may be a womanizer, but he doesn't need to make jokes about sex or anything...pretty much at all.

 

Minor Jimmy Neutron characters can be played by anyone if they happen to make an appearance.

 

OCs need description for fellow RPers.

Dr. Rock: Seth

 

 

 

Dr. Rock: Hugh Rock is a scientist interested in gene splicing. He starts out just making cyborgs, but that isn't enough for him and starts moving to animals. He honestly thinks that he can increase societies potential by mixing the outcome of animals and humans, taking the best from both. He also wants technological sciences to improve, all the way to perfecting Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Rock is 6 foot 7 and is somewhat scrawny, giving off a weak yet towering look. He wears his own uniform that is a patchwork of various colors and has very long red hair. Add on a set of sharp teeth after he used himself as a guinea pig, and you've got yourself a very odd looking character.

Uh, seeing as Jimmy will be out of the picture for quite a while, given the scenario you've described here, I've decided that I don't want to join this until the moment finally arrives as he awakens, so I'll be Jimmy, since I don't wanna experience RPing without his character around.  I hate when a character I strongly cherish gets put into a pretty sad scenario like this.  In fact, just as I'm typing this out, I'm starting to get a bit teary-eyed; no lie. So I'll be Jimmy, starting from the moment he finally wakes up, but not anyone else, and not until that moment.  It would be too sad for me, dude...  Sorry.

I might potentially join this, though admittedly I'm a bit rusty with characters from the show. Here are my two OCs! =) I may always potentially add more later because some of my characters might come looking for these two lol, but for now, these two! They're best friends, likely from another dimension.

Name: Skylar Jayden Colburn.

Age: 16

Species: Hedgehog

Height: 5'7

Personality: Skylar is quite the fire cracker most of the time, he's a bit of an adrenaline junky and happy to jump into a fray if need be. He's been through a lot in his short life and honestly at times it shows drastically. He's got an attitude, but in the end a genuinely caring heart, and usually just wants to help people, even if in the process he makes things worse.

Story: ??? Will be revealed as time goes on, likely.

Talents: Sword play, musically inclined.

Strengths: Good at hand to hand combat and sword play.

Name:  Azul Rylan Edwards.

Age: 14

Species: Hedgehog/Andriod.

Height: 5'6

Personality: Azul is pretty calm and collected most of the time, often being the voice of reason to his friends whom tend to get into trouble. He's intelligent, and thoughtful, trying his best to be a good kid and help people...oh, did I mention he just so happens to be an android..? Don't let that form your impression of him, though, he's just as 'real' as you and me.

Story: ??? Will be revealed as time goes on, likely.

Talents: He is an extremely gifted 'creator', so to speak! He is brilliant with machinery and can build gadgets and gizmos from almost nothing!

Strengths: He has few physical strengths, but he can usually build something to help him on his way!

I am rusty too, just watched some episodes on Hulu for the first time in like...four years.

Yeah it's been a while since I've watched the show or taken a swing at RPing the gang, I used to do it often but to be honest now that I look back I wasn't that good at it.

 

I will definitely add an OC or two, I need to put some thought in to who would be best for this RP, but if no one else wants I may try Cindy! I used to RP as her fairly often so I could try it again.

Phew, that's a relief!  I was a little concerned there for a while. Now, I officially call Jimmy's role! But only when it's the scene when he wakes up, from that moment on, okay?  Edit: Are they show age in this, or teens?

Geez, ok, for whenever we do start, I can't decide what OCs I want to bring in here.... I could always bring some anthros in fairly easily via portal, to make Dr. Rock go "EXCUSE ME?" considering what his experimenting entails of, haha.

 

But what do you guys think? Should I bring in anthros or stick to my human characters? What would work better with the plot? I don't wanna throw any wrenches in here and I can definitely stick with human characters if it works better.

You can throw in a car eating shoe from outer space for all I care. DO whatever you'd like, unless those anthros (and by that I guess you mean anthropomorphic animals) are sporting some very realistic human parts without clothes, you're probably fine. 

 

As for when we start, sure, let's start this thing. Any characters who are not taken can just be passed around until someone jumps in and wants to join. You two okay with that? I don't really care...That is the rule I'm setting because I can.

 

So, I'll start with a "prologue" followed by a "scene" with the gang.

 

Dr. Rock: So...your tiny...fragile mind couldn't take it. Pity. It would have been nice to have someone with enough brain potential to be able to work with this experiment. Join the others Martha.

 

*deformed creature walks off an operating bed, limping and groaning.*

 

Rock: So, an I.Q. of 150 doesn't hold up...how about going another ten points higher...

(lol all my Anthros wear clothes. ;P I'll add some eventually, when I find a good way to intro them and decide who I'm using. I'll update my first post on the topic to include their profile.

Sheen: Jimmy, Jimmy. Carl needs to stop entering my house uninvited. I'm telling you...if he does that and takes my Ultra-what are you working on...wait a minute, Carl had that with him when he was in my room.

 

Carl: Yeah Sheen, it unlocks-

Jimmy: *pauses his work when he overhears this, then turns to face them* W-w-wait, hold on here!! Carl, Sheen, how many times have I told you to not touch anything in my LAB?!! *holds out his hand* Hand over my device, NOW!!

Carl: *Handing Jimmy the device* Anything...

Jimmy: Yes, anything, whatever it is you've got there. *sighs* Now, before you two wreak any more havoc or cause any more calamities, hand me my invention. *gets up to retrieve it from them, only to be startled by a blaring alarm* Yaaaahh!! Puking Pluto, what in the heck was that about?! *sits back down and begins typing furiously, only to see a live video of none other than Libby show up* Oh, great... What is it now, Libby?!

Libby: Ugh, Neutron, ya did it again! Why'd ya have to sabotage Cindy's locker with live spiders, particularly tarantulas?!

Jimmy: *rolls eyes* Libby, you're overreacting... The species I selected is completely harmless, but still an excellent subject to get some humor out of it! *laughs boldly*

Libby: I wouldn't be laughin', Neutron, cuz she's right here and is demandin' she talk to ya! *turns her phone's webcam to face her, showing how furious she is*

Jimmy: *laughs nervously* Uh, hey, Cindy! What seems to be the predicament here?
