Figured I'd start a topic for those of us enjoying ABC's new comedy-musical series, Galavant.

I can't get over this shit. It's just so enjoyably silly.

My favorite joke so far:

I loved it but that comes as a surprise to no one

No offense to anyone who likes it, but that just looks too raunchy, and it's not historically accurate, either...
I've never seen this, but I don't know if I'd expect most "comedy musicals" to be historically accurate. ![]()

It's actually fairly tame, Em. Dirty jokes are mostly alluded to or performed with a jolly turn-and-wink kind of attitude. It's got that delightful sort of British humor going for it, rather than the more abrasive American sexual humor.
And yeah, it's historically accurate in much the same way that Monty Python and the Holy Grail or Robin Hood Men in Tights are accurate ![]()

I understand. It just seems silly to mischaracterize a show like this as "raunchy", when there are so, SO many worse things out there. Galavant is really quite harmless.

YES.

Well. I certainly wasn't expecting to see Weird Al as a member of an order of singing monks.

Well played, Galavant.

It's pretty easy to find online. Episodes 2, 3, and 4 are all available for free on ABC.com....and episode 5 and 6 will be available soon. If you can just track down the pilot episode elsewhere, you should be all set.

!!!!!!!!!!1!
Aw man, add to the growing list of shows that I absolutely have to watch. The almost-indiscernible zenith of which is dominated by Doctor Who.

It's decided. I need to start this show. Gotta log it in for roommate bonding time.
