I just saw this film and I personally loved it. Anyone want to share their thoughts if they've seen it?

Wow, saw the Lego Movie last week. Absolutely loved it- probably my favorite film of the year (I am a huge Godzilla fan too and I know the Lego Movie already beats it).

One subtle dynamic I really liked was the connotation of the 'Everything is Awesome' song. At first it seems like a cheesy tune to enforce conformity in Bricksburg, but by the end its lyrics become very meaningful as the Master Builders work together. The real-life part was really clever too. It made the whole villain's modus operandi much more sensible.

I myself used to make lego (stop motion) films, here are two of several dozen I made between 2006 - 2012. The Lego Movie inspired me to pick the hobby of filmmaking up again! I'm already brainstorming ideas.  :music:

I also have a Lego town, but I packed it up. Maybe I'll break it out again when I get home. I also have tons of Bionicles. My only complaint of the film was that there was only one Bionicle reference.
