Night Vale fans are hilarious. We're totally OK with the INCREDIBLY sinister forces native to Night Vale, like the Sheriff's Secret Police, or the Vague Yet Menacing Government Agency, or the dog park's Hooded Figures...but the second anyone from Strex Corp pops up, we lose our shit.

But yeah, the second that episode aired, pretty much the entire fandom was up in arms declaring "IF YOU COME AFTER CARLOS WE WILL COME AFTER YOU!"

 

I may or may not have been one of them.

God, I can't even hear/read that anymore without instantly expecting strange music in my ears. 

 

Its also hilarious how the fandom will write some of the most angsty shit with no apologies, but the second they hear something like that in canon they'll lose their minds and instantly sign up for the rebellion.

That's because nobody ACTUALLY wants anything bad to happen to the characters. It's fun to speculate, but if our babies experienced that kind of shit in canon, it would HURT US. Their pain tendrils would slither into our ear canals, spread like webs across our brain tissue, and hijack our central nervous systems. It would be bad.
