The Lost Chapters is another addition to the universe of The Final Battle and Pushing Through. This book is going to be significantly shorter than either previous story. It will consist of eleven chapters, and I'm expecting anywhere from 30,000 to 66,000 words. It will probably fall somewhere right in the middle. Each chapter of this story will focus on one of the main characters from The Final Battle and Pushing Through. These characters are Jimmy, Cindy, Carl, Sheen, Libby, Nick, Betty, Ike, Miranda, and Barak. The eleventh chapter will focus on the group as a whole. The chapters are going to be completely independent of each other and will take place at widely different points in time. Some chapters will take place years before either of the previous books, some will take place during one of the books, some in between the books, and a couple will even take place after Pushing Through. Each chapter will focus on an important moment in the character's lives and shed new light on these people. Some chapters will be funny, some will be sad, but all will be fully canonical and give you new insight into the universe of these books.

The first chapter that I plan to upload will deal with Miranda's past and will take place five years before The Final Battle. The chapters will go in chronological order, but again, they are not linked together. This book is purely for fans of both The Final Battle and Pushing Through. If you're a Jimmy Neutron fan but haven't read both these books, this new addition won't really make any sense.

So, that about covers this new project. I won't go into great detail about the chapters will contain, but here's a few pieces of info about the book's contents to hold you over until the first upload.

-Some readers may have noticed that Libby and Goddard shared a strange exchange in Pushing Through's epilogue. The reason for this will be explained in The Lost Chapters.

- Miranda's rape will not be depicted.

- While it may seem that I avoided describing these conversations so that I could place them in The Lost Chapters, neither Carl and Ike's talk in the epilogue nor Sheen and Barak's talk in Jimmy's lab will be featured.

- At least two of the kids' parents will have speaking roles.

- Yet another inappropriate faculty member of Retroville Middle School will be introduced. Ms. Creek really appears to be the only normal person working there.

- Chowder will appear in at least one chapter, and probably two chapters.

- The final chapter of this story could be considered a tertiary epilogue for Pushing Through.

Well, the first chapter of The Lost Chapters has been uploaded. The next will deal with Barak Neroma's past. I'm very excited to write chapters three and five. Once again, I don't want to reveal a ton of information because I want the contents of each chapter to be a surprise. But to quell my desire to share info about this book and to pique your interest, here's a few facts about these two chapters.

Chapter Three will be entitled "Coronary Thievery" and will focus on Ike Burke. It will take place approximately six months before The Final Battle. I'd love to share more, but I think the title should say everything you need to know if you're a long-time fan of my works.

Chapter Five will deal with Liibby and will take place slightly more than halfway through The Final Battle. This is the only chapter of The Lost Chapters that is somewhat literally a lost chapter. I meant to include this as an actual chapter in The Final Battle, but I just plain forgot to write it. Since I've had this idea in my head for six years, I'm extremely excited to finally write it. This is going to be an incredibly emotional chapter and will also explain the odd exchange between Libby and Goddard in Pushing Through's epilogue.

If anyone's still interested, I'm really trying to get Chapter 8 up this week.  Sorry for the long absence; I've had other writing projects on my mind.  This next chapter will focus on Nick, showcase his friendship with Jimmy, and give a cameo appearance from everyone's favorite kukri-wielding teenager.
