Although I'm excited for Cars 2, the excitement for that film is overshadowed by another film, Green Lantern!
So in honor of the film and the character, I;m starting a club about Green Lantern!

Well, Hal Jordan was there 1st, but inreality, Allan Scott was the 1st Green Lantern (he appeared in All-American Comics in the '40s, while Hal was created during the superhero revival of the '50s) was also 1st.
John Stewart, the Green Lantern you mentioned, appeared during the bronze age in the pages of Green Lantern-Green Arrow. He gained the spotlight after the Justice League series as well. He'll be in the movie as a civilian, though he'll be a Lantern in a possible sequel.
