Why We Ship: Jimmy/Betty

Here's my reason for shipping JxB: it's a breath of fresh air from the usual "bully-girl-who-loves-smart-boy" cliche. Also, Betty treat Jimmy as a HUMAN BEING, not as a target for pranks and beatings. Plus, Betty in the fandom has been portrayed unfairly by the more extreme Jimmy/Cindy shippers, same goes with Nick, April, or even OC's.
Anyone else?

I'll add mine later, too tired to think clearly ATM, & I want it to be good. Short & brief, but good.

Their relationship (J/C) is too unstable for me, that is.Alex, what a surprise! And yes, I understand it!
I guess I'm 50%/50% right now.

But I'm confused, why all the talk of physical abuse here? Last I remeber of Cindy hitting Jimmy was slapping him after the dream kiss. And that wasn't that bad considering how other tsunderes act towards their respective love interest. The arguing was pretty bad, but nothing earth shattering. Jimmy doesn't seem to mind it. And at least they mellow out at the end.
Betty could've been a good foil for Cindy and the relationship between her and Jimmy (the contrast between sweet and innocent JB or the heated sparks of JC) so it's sad the writers didn't follow up on it. Betty did give Jimmy up though, in Vanishing Act. So she couldn't have been that interested. That's just my 2 cents.

The reason for the theory about physical abuse is because there could be concern one day that the relationship would go south once they're older.

think about it, you fight with your sibling and beat the crap out of them right? Doesn't mean you love em any less. My sister bruised me, and I her, but now we get along great. It's just a kid thing.
It's a classic Takahashi couple, and most times when/if they show the 2 get together, they reminisce about how they used to fight like that.
I take it you're not a fan of the tsundere??

Here's what a friend of mine has to say about Cindy, please note that the views and opinions do nor reflect those of IDOJ or its management:
"Cindy Vortex (“The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron”) - Wow. Where to begin with this one? Take Helga Pataki, increase her IQ somewhat and strip away the noble yet futile effort at explaining (justifying?) her unpleasant behavior and this is what you get. That she goes around threatening and insulting people (I ask you, where were Craig Bartlett’s lawyers?!) and rubbing her intelligence in people’s faces is insufferable enough, but the main target of this nonsense is the main character Jimmy…whom she supposedly loves (and don’t even get me started on that oh-so-annoying nervous laughter she does whenever someone calls her on her feelings for him). And, of course, people support the two of them getting together…including the show’s writers. Seriously, am I taking crazy pills?"
