I've been hearing a lot on subject.
Here's a topic you can discuss Carl/Cindy whether fans or not.
Give your opinion on the idea.

Not in the show as is, but depending on the AU I can like the idea, it all depends on (once again) how Cindy treats him, really. If its something of an angsty AU fic on Cindy's part where the two sorta help each other & it eventually turns into that, then I'm all for it. But the show as it is? NU NU NO. Carl like Jimmy, deserves someone who treats him better than that over half the series, namely Elke.

But again, if the right AU fic... AND the right author, I can end up loving the idea.

Faded-fae on livejournal comes to mind, a good handful of hers are CxC, but quite a bit on the angsty side, though like I said if the right level of angst & the right plot etc, it can definitely be a fave, just not with the show as it is.

I really like the idea of Carl/Cindy. If destiny precludes Jimmy/Cindy (for example, if Jimmy's arrogance broke Cindy's heart, or if Jimmy died), then Carl/Cindy would be the second most desirable pairing for me. My fondness for Carl/Cindy is only growing, and it might even overtake my fondness for Jimmy/Cindy! For the sake of completeness, my third most desirable pairing would be Myself/Cindy... (Yes, I know, but please, don't judge...) My forth would be An Original Character I Created/Cindy. Since my original character can be anything I want, there is no fifth choice, or sixth choice, etc. I wouldn't want Cindy to get paired up with anyone else anyway!

I wouldn't like the idea of Jimmy passing away either.
However, they could hanndle it differently.
Say Jimmy and Cindy discover they are meant to be, Carl is there to confert Cindy.
They see maybe some things there, Carl asks Jimmy if its ok if he asks Cindy out.
I don't really support this pairing either, but I noticed some fans of the ship poping up, so I made a thread on them

I really like the idea of Carl/Cindy. I agree with everything you said Octavius2250. I love J/C and it is the only pairing for me. ESPECIALLY on Jimmy's part. I couldn't see him with anybody else. Ever. I'd hate hate HATE if he liked Libby, ended up with Libby, even when they talk I dislike it.

I'm the type that when Cindy is rude to Jimmy I smirk and find it funny but when he is rude to her I find him to be the biggest jerk in the world, and in those moments I see Carl; so gentle, shy and sweet. He was so sad to let go of that alien baby. He's much nicer than Jimmy so I see him as someone that would be good to Cindy. Does that make sense? Jimmy's a nice guy but he can be such a jerk, Carl's nice 24/7. I think he could treat her good and show her what love is because she seems not to know it, and she could fight for him and protect him. Though... This would be if something were to happen to Jimmy, like death perhaps. I'd never want them to break up, move on or have Jimmy find another girl.

I know you like this pairing, but did you ever take into account what happened between Jimmy and Cindy in Stranded?? No offense; just thought I'd letcha know.

Hmm.

Actually, Carl x Cindy is one of the pairings I LEAST see happening. I just don't think she would ever be attracted to him **shrugs** Even in an AU situation, I have a hard time picturing what sort of traits would make them compatible.

For me, even with Stranded as part of a fic's storyline, I'd still enjoy it but only if written right & Cindy's eventual reason is "cause she didn't get Jimmy", or "J/C didn't work out", second choice, in other words. If its on her own, true love & no other reason, I'd like it. But for jealousy (using him.. do NOT like the idea of Carl after he'd find out), or any means other than true love, NO. & I'd like to see Jimmy be with another girl in said fic if this were to be the plot (*cough*Betty*cough*) of getting Carl & Cindy together, but likewise ONLY for true love reasoning.

But if I were to ever graduate to writing JN fics, I'd most likely make Cindy an OC, just for the record of things.

Yeah. I Just can't see them together. Carl's a sweet guy, but he just isn't the type that Cindy's attracted too. I love Carl and I love Cindy, but I would hate them together.

I agree on all except after "I love Carl &", as I only like Cindy when not focusing on her love/hate interest in Jimmy, & that I wouldn't mind if somehow they got together regardless. Still though, definitely see where your coming from as Carl/Elke's my main ship for him.

Well it's pretty amateur since this is my first time making a video. I guess that was my way of softening the blow to myself that I suck. Haha
