I know I haven't written a oneshot in a while, so who'd like to illustrate the ones I have posted?? I mostly haven't written one lately cuz Beks hasn't proposed any challenges for March/April. Sooooooo, do I have any takers on this proposal???

But I'd prefer some realistic looks of the characters, rather than the cartoon-y look of how I usually do it. So, anyone up for it, other than Pedro, that is? (no offense, dude...)

Em, let me be honest - actually, this is just a pointer to anyone who is thinking of asking for an art request, on Deviantart or on any other site - most artists work incredibly hard and get paid next to nothing for their work.

It's kind of become a personal pet peeve of mine - art is a commodity, it isn't something you can just get for free. You wouldn't waltz into a restaurant and go up to the chef and say "I'd like you to make me some creme broulet...oh, and by the way, I'd like it for free plz". You pay them for their work and for their skill...after all, not everyone can make creme broulet.

If you can't pay for art, then you need to offer a trade of some sort, or offer to do a favor for the artist, or...something.

ART IS NOT FREE, PEOPLE.

That is all. No offense meant to anyone, just a bit of eddymacation.

Can't believe I never replied to this... Mara, you made an excellent point about this back then, and I wholly agree. I agree that I shouldn't expect someone to illustrate something of mine without expecting something reasonable in return, which is why this offer still stands, but as an art trade now, cuz I know that is the better option than what I'd formerly offered...

What would you want drawn? I'm not good at drawing realistic people though so they would still look cartoony probably.
