I've discovered that the JN series was actually created using Maya 3D, whereas the first movie was done in LightWave.

I've already seen dozens of tutorials on torrent sites, & I'm sure youtube & the other video sites have their share, needless to say I'm SO working on this! :D

If this is the wrong section for this, please move it. xD

That's the tricky part. I've found a non-commercial version for free, but you do have to give info to the program's mainsite most people probably wouldn't give out (home address, etc), plus it says that version gives a watermark on the stuff you make, so I highly doubt it'd be as fun as the full version. (obviously this freebie version would also likely not have all the full version gives. (options, etc)

There's always pirate bay.org, but lately I've had trouble with that site, after two full years & a half of no probs whatsoever. Basically what happens is I start a download for something, a few minutes later I get a bunch of spyware & malware protection advertisements, including ones that installed themselves on my computer without my approval or awareness of the fact they were installed untill too late. To beat all, the ones that are installed canNOT be removed without using system restore on the computer. Not only that, but if I restart the computer, it shows I have some number of those very viruses on my computer. I'm paranoid about losing this computer through those, so I instantly do a syatem restore the minute the download's complete.

So I'll keep searching starting tomorrow. I'm tired & half-bored, ok not bored but I have the extreme urge to play Sims 2. I'll upload the actual torrent file (the part you actually use to download the torrent in utorrent) in a zip file (like Win, Lose & Kaboom is on the IDOJ mainsite), so no one else has to be plagued by this torment of spyware & malware.

Once I find it, (& the full version actually costs about a $150 dollars if I'm not mistaken for those money-bag members here, if there are any. =P)

For the record, I imagine most, if not all the Pixar 3D films are made using Maya, I know for a fact the "Monsters VS Aliens" movie is. ^_^

Again, I will try my best to upload the right torrent once I find it if I can. This may end up being my weekend project, but I will say this: I MAKE NO PROMISES HERE. But if I get to it, I will try. :)

Thank you, Stacy! Maya will let me make 3D characters like in JN? That is so cool. If you could put it up for download, that would be great. Thanks again!

Err, well it took me awhile, but I managed:

http://www.brotherso...are-243123.html

Looks like its a trial, but if you have a system restore disc & don't mind reinstalling everything on your computer, OR finding a way to uninstall/reinstall, you'll be able to configure it into the real deal. Granted, its not exactly an efficiant way of getting the program, but niether is spending $5 grand in real money on the program either! :o ;)

If I find a fix for it (namely a crack/keygen), trust me I'll let you guys know! ^_^

*downloading now, 12%*, yeah, it'll take forever to get dowmloaded, but SOO worth it. :D

Congrats on the find!

Can it be used on a Mac computer? I'm getting a MacBook this year not just to make better vids, but for projects too.

Forget the link, its in need of a keygen, & till I find that, no go there.

Urvy: Not this particular version, but there ARE Mac versions of Maya out there, I'll help you look as best I can once you get your new computer. Congrats btw! ^_^
