Does Jimmy think to much of himself?

That's the hilarity behind JN - Jimmy's super huge ego and inability to admit that his inventions don't always work right. So yeah, his ego is definitely obnoxious. Luckily, we have Cindy trying her best on a daily basis to bring him down a few notches.

And in CWBG, Jimmy really only said that and acted jerkish because he was mad that Carl was pretending to be him to impress a beautiful girl. Wouldn't you be sore if your friend got all the credit and attention for passing himself off as you, when people get mad when you're you?

Of course he does. I'd think too much of myself if I was a genius, too.

Now see the Carl Boy Genius I can understand a bit Carl was acting like a jerk to him the entire episode dispite Jimmy trying to do a nice thing for him.

He's a genius. He's bound to have an ego and a "no shit, Sherlock" demeanor (like Mara ;D *dodges flaming bags of who knows what*). It's apart of his character.

I think anyone who has a very high IQ will tend to think highly of themselves, so it is not too surprising that Jimmy has a bit of an ego at times.
Reviving!
He's got such a huge ego, but that's part of what makes him so likeable, duh...!! In my opinion, his pride seems to become larger as we get into Season 3, which is likely why he acted the way he did in The N-Men and also why he got that strange hulk-like power...
Heck, even in Season 2, we start to see signs of him getting more prideful, at least somewhat, such as in Win, Lose, and Kaboom. I swear, unlike most other eps, it was Cindy I sided with at first instead of him, cuz he was doing so much grandstanding and being obnoxious about it...! Made me wanna slap the fire outta him...!
But I do really like that he eventually learned his lesson about teamwork and came to his senses!
Once I saw that for the first time, I was like, "Pffft, it's about time, Jimmy!!"
So yeah, he does come off as prideful and obnoxious sometimes, but hey, he's just a kid during the show and is still learning the right ways to act...!
Yet he's still super lovable all the same...!

To the person who started this topic, I agree with the idea but I disagree with your examples. In "Carl Wheezer Boy Genius" the poor guy was already pushed to his limits by his best friend casually admitting to basically stealing his identity - it's no surprise Jimmy became bitter to Carl for the rest of the episode. And who could deny Sheen being weird?! Even the people closest to him (Jimmy being one of them IMO) would have to admit that he's certainly a character.
To JimmyxxCindy4EVER, I disagree - I think his ego was lower than ever in season 3. By that point in the series he cares way more about helping others than he had before, just go by his missions - in "Fundemonium" he spends the whole time helping his dad. In "El Magnifico" he spends the whole time helping SHEEN'S dad. In "Best in Show" he's just trying to get his dog back. He briefly becomes Sheen's sidekick in "Crouching Jimmy Hidden Sheen". In "The N Men" Cindy was at season 1 - level childish teasingness and even Carl and Sheen were in on it, so I wouldn't blame him for snapping so bad.
In my opinion season 1 was the climax of his ego. I didn't like Jimmy when I first watched the show, because at that point he's mostly just a whiny smart-aleck who treats his friends like crap. Thankfully in seasons 2 and 3 he becomes much more sympathetic.
