Emily and her fics...

So, let's get right to bussness...
It has come to my attention that our dear friend, Emily (aka - JimmyxxCindy4EVER) has been feeling a little blue about no one replying to her fics.
Now I'm not pointing fingers at anybody and I don't expect Emily too. Maybe this is a big deal for nothing, but Em feeling down about people finding her fics "uninteresting" kinda alarmed me.
Any comments?
P.S. - Mara, if you think this topic is unnesseccery then you have by all means the option to delete it.

Anyone else, feel free to speak your minds about this, but plz, no belittling or anything mean, ok?
It just feels like a lot of users think my many topics are unimportant... I.e.- They only wait to reply for after I'VE posted, then only post once, then stop until I post again. If you ask me, I find that not only annoying, but also hurtful. I don't want to feel the same way Zoey did after the, um, "incident with John", as I'll harmlessly put it, occurred. Again, no mean or hurtful comments, plz. Ty.

Soz, double-post, but thx so much for that, Beks! It REALLY means a lot to me! *hugs* Beks---->I shall remidy this situation immediatly!
I can really understand how Emily is feeling. I am truely sorry that I haven't been able to read other people's fanfics like I feel I should. It's kind of one of my few responsibilities as Writer Woman.
So, look for me in your topics, Emily.
Edit: In that case, I think I will post that new fic I have in the works! Keep an eye out for it, Beks...

But I agree with what Sunny suggested - if you want replies, it is easier to just have one fic going at a time. Sometimes I can't remember which fanfics of yours I'm caught up with, and which ones have new chapters, etc. So maybe just pick one to post, and write the rest on your computer to post after you finish the one you completed on IDOJ?
That'll just make it easier for your readers. Also, I don't typically leave more than one reply per chapter I read of a fic, so don't feel discouraged if I'm not discussing your fics at length with several posts. In fact, I think most people typically just leave one reply and then wait for the next part. It isn't just your fanfics, it's what people do for basically every fic on here except for TOSOT.

Ok, thx for the advice, Katie. I'll try to remember that.
=)
No problem.
Hey, if you had to choose, which of your current fics would you like me to catch up with first? I may have some time this weekend to do so.

But if you put them on fanfiction, do be prepared for criticism. Most people usually have tact when critiquing a fanfic, but sometimes one person's idea of gentle constructive criticism is another person's idea of flaming. If you go on fanfiction.net, you're going to have to learn not to take reviewing so personally. I think putting them on fanfiction.net would be good for you. It's a wider fanfiction audience, so you get a better idea of what writing styles work out best for the widest approval. It also helps with rating judgement, and can help mature writing styles. Fanfiction.net helped me out a lot with grammar, spelling, word choice, and characterization. It also gave me a harder shell. I was really young and new to writing when I first joined, and I would take critique really personally and throw fits if my stuff wasn't appreciated, but it did help me realize that not everyone was going to like my stuff, and if I wanted more appreciation for my work I would have to work harder and listen to reviewer's suggestions.
So, in short, I really think that joining fanfiction.net would be a positive thing for you and for your writing.

Most people one fanfiction are not mean. There are some people who flame, but JN doesn't usually attract that kind of reviewer. Also, most people flame anonymously. In your account settings, you can choose to disable anonymous reviews, which cutes down a lot on flames, because people are less inclined to flame if you can pin the flamer's username.

Exactly how I feel about FanFiction.net. (: I know that when I review, I try to be nice and compliment whatever possible, but if a fic needs criticism, it needs criticism.
