Also I thought of a reason SB is going to be hard to get Nick to end:With a show like JN or FOP, it's easy to end it by creating an epic finale, and that pleases the fans for the most part. But with a show like SB, that's really comedy (bad comedy, but still comedy)-oriented, instead of adventure oriented, you can't really have any epicness to end it.

That's a GOOD point John. It makes sense. I actually tried one day to think if SB could have, even remotely, somekind of epic ending, but it just didn't happen.

At least FOP has a potential to have it's own epic ending in it's own specal way.

It saddens me that JN NEVER got the epic ending it really deserved!! :'(

Not unless they just find a way to out-do the SB movie, but in all-cartoon format like its meant to be. (I saw the previews, so that's why I know they use an actor in it, just didn't recognize him)

This way, little kids would be semi-happy cause it didn't stop JUST because a handful of us (compared to the THOUSANDS of them) can't stand its horrid popularity, it got a full super-epic ending.

But will Nick studios EVER let that happen..? HECK NO! -_-

Depends on if it effects the characters too much. Remember, for shows like these, StatusQuoIsGod, except for the finale.

Well, not to brag or revel anything about my story, but it's how I would envision an epic ending. Basically everyone's feelings about each other and themselves challenged, then life-changing epiphines, knowing each other better and the epic climax.

Basically the kids will still be themselves, just a bit more mature.

Well, I've already envisioned Neutron Trilogy as being the final, final ending. Actually, even more than a final ending. Like immeadiately after the show's finale, Neutron At War the movie gets announced.

Also, in the modern age, you can't really aim something animated that isn't anime at the young teen older preteen market and call it Life Love and Death. The comet catalyst works better.

Actually while it is named that, it's kinda soley aimed at the more older fans, with some elements of the original show for younger veiwers.

Take Re-boot for example, that show started off comical, then went into a more-serious but still comical change of style.

That's my intention for my story, at least.

Don't worry. Neutron At War is probably a lot, lot worse. It would probably get rated PG-13, and that's if I was intentionally avoiding showing any blood.
The reason I pointed out LL&D not working is because the very title makes that obvious.

Ya, I am a huge fan of Spongebob, but I personally think it should have ended after the movie. As I understand it, that's what the creator wanted.

I realize that SB is Nick's cash cow, but it seems like they're milking it to DEATH. They probably have no idea what their next big-ticket item will be, since nobody seems capable of writing good cartoons anymore -_-

I'm rather surprised that Nick didn't merchandise Avatar more - they never marketed to girls and therefore missed a major demographic. I mean honestly - I would TOTALLY buy a Katara doll. I'm not kidding you.

Anyway, Nick needs to realize that Spongebob won't last forever, and they should let it go out with dignity and then hire some competent writers to usher in a new generation of QUALITY cartoons.

I feel your pain, Pedro... It's SO not fair!!!! They ALMOST made a fourth season of JN, but Nick HAD to step in and say that they needed *uses air quotes* "more variety"! I mean, you could TOTALLY have more JN variety without canceling it in the FIRST place!!!! But did they??? NO, they did NOT, and they :uhoh: canceled it without giving it the :uhoh: credit it DESERVES!!!!!! Man, Nick makes me so :uhoh: mad!!!!!!!!!!!! :PCpwn: :mad: :angry: :protest:

I know. Avatar was EPIC. I saw some Avatar related things in the Nick shop that were pretty cool, but I think they could have emphasized it more. The animation was superior to many other 2D Nicktoons, and it had an actual storyline. Where you had to watch all the episodes to understand what was happening. Not many US shows are like that. Some shows, like JN and DP, are still mostly sit-comy with individual stories for each episode, but still have loose links and ties from earlier forshadowing or insignificant details that become bigger later on in the series. But Avatar was a successful American Anime. Anime always has storylines, and Avatar is really the only Anime-inspired American cartoon that accomplished what Anime really is.

I have Avatar books at my house *brick'd* My ninth grade Christmas was quite the Avatar Christmas. Season 2 box set, all four books about the different nations, two of the Earth Kingdom Chronicles books (Sokka and Toph). I need more EKCs. I wanted Katara's, but it wasn't out yet when my parents went shopping. I think they've already published Zuko and Azula by now, too. ^_^ Zuko book...awesome!

SB should have ended a long time ago. I can count on one hand the number of episodes that are decent. It just doesn't work anymore. My little sister used to be a huge SB fan, and even she hates it now, and she's still in the target audience age range.

They need to find some way to end it cleanly and permanently, then move on to bigger and better things. Like more stuff from the Avatar creators, and some more Butch Hartman stuff, and I'd like to see something else from the creators of Hey Arnold, and from the creators of Rocket Power. I miss those last two shows dearly. They all had good animation, interesting art styles, and in the special features of the Book 2 box set, the Avatar creators talk about working with the Avatar universe again. Not with the gaang or their kids, but with other characters, maybe a past Avatar. That would be so COOL!
