I love it, depending on what it is. I like it for JN or certain fic characters (LOL, Mara's...) or movies. Not certain ones I can't keep up with or don't understand too well, but I'm sure I'd catch on.
Either way, ITS FUN!

So, generally its okay, but I have gotton into it, especially w/ TOSOT, duh, so I voted "Love it" I mean, why not?

I know a lot of people love it here and its how soome IDOJ friends "click" ya know? Like newbies become close or friends from other sites where they roleplayed or their own spamming. Its a big part of the forums on IDOJ, I think.

This was a good poll idea, Gwen, because a lot of new people don't like it, or don't know what it is or how, and some like certain ways, and some always begged Mara to put it in the forum in the beginning, and some couldn't care less, and some don't like it, or say its okay but not for them, etc. Ha!
But, its a neato thing. There's nothing wrong with it, and its a talent. I know, Noemi, Laura, Katie, Krista and Gwen are really good! And, funny :lol: something we can all understand! Our language, kinda
Or maybe that's just me, but you can all get a kick out of a good roleplay if you're good.

I think I'd put myself in the category of disliking it. I don't hate it, but it's not something I find myself wanting to do on a frequent basis. Fanfic is more my thing.

If you mean play by text JN role play, that's an accurate statement. But Mara and I have been role playing regularly for years. We just prefer tabletop rpgs with original characters.

What are TTRPG's? RPG's for Teen Titans? I wish there were more folks here who enjoy the same kinda RPing as me...

Edit: After rereading Mary's post here from four years ago, I just realized something... If the only kind of RPing y'all mostly enjoy is original character RPing, that excludes folks like myself who aren't familiar with those characters... I mean, I have a few of those which I could use for that kinda RPing, but they aren't that well fleshed out and I'm not good at that kinda thing... I'm much better at RPing with characters that are well established in fandoms and that I'm familiar with... By limiting what kind of RP's y'all do, like I said, you're excluding the rest who aren't familiar with it...

I mean, any role playing I do, it is the context of a game I play. I don't really roleplay those characters here at all. 

 

I understand why that is frustrating though, Em. I unfortunately just have not come to a place where I enjoy "in character" roleplay for tv shows and such. I really do prefer to interact with fanfiction and visual art in terms of fan content.

 

But that might change in the future. (Though, to be clear, I can't promise that) I'm just saying that my overall enjoyment of RP certainly has grown, so ya never know I guess. Anything can happen!
