Why We Ship: Jimmy & Cindy

Okay, so EVERYBODY who's even the most un-avid fan of JN knows that J/C is, by far, the most popular, with Sheen/Libby running in a VERY close second. YouTube is littered with fanvideos of the two in the best (or worst) moments, FF.net has a multitude of fics, and DeviantArt might consider putting a ban on the number of images of these two.

So just WHAT makes the pairing of Jimmy & Cindy SO POPULAR and so appealing to shippers?

LAURA: It's CANON, duh!
KAZ: Yeah! Why else?
PEDRO: They kissed in LSTN, for cryin' out loud!
GWEN: *goes off to watch WLK for the 15893rd time*
KRISTA: This convo gives me much lulz.
JESSI: $50 on Toothy ovar there.
KRISTA: I think that's Laura, Jessi.
JESSI: *headesk*
FLANK: *grabs popcorn and folding lawn chair and sits down to enjoy the entertainment*

The Love/Hate Relationship

During the time while the show was releasing new episodes, the love/hate relationship gave the viewers a reason to keep watching (and also a reason to skip that godawful college seminar you're supposed to be attending :lol: ). You never knew what the next episode was going to bring in terms of Jimmy and Cindy's overall relationship, whether it was :mad: or :wub: , it was sure to make the viewers do any of the following:

The Insults

Let's face it, some of their insults Jimmy and Cindy come up with when they're arguing are pretty funny. A couple that pop into my head are:

"WRONG! The Equator's invisible and apparently so is your brain!"

"Well at least my head doesn't need its own time zone!"
-Cindy (in repsonse to the quote above)

"In your dreams, Oompah-Loompah Boy!"
-Cindy, N-Men

Well, simply that static characters usuall never change or develop somekind of universal, internal or external, understanding of oneself, where as dynamic, tends to "realize" or have epihanies, go through changes, etc.
