Okay, my 9-year-old writing MAY be cheesy, but I'll try!

Chapter One
It was a beautiful morning. The sky was a pale blue, the sun was a gorgeous orange, and everything was quiet and peaceful.
My name is Princess Alexis...the XII, to be exact. I live on Greenleaf Island, which sounds like a lovely place, right? Wrong. There's so much poverty and problems here....and my father always SAYS he's going to do something about all of this, but he never does! I feel so bad for all of my people.
I'm supposedly a princess, but everyone treats me like I'm a peasant. Do this. Do that. I'm being bossed around, when I should be bossing THEM! Oh well. Even if you're royal, being the youngest always means being treated unfairly. My sisters and brothers are no help. They always tease me just because I'm young. But Anna, my eldest sister, is very kind to me. Probably because she's 20 and mature...
I attend Seacrest Academy, a great school where all of children with noblity go to school. I thought it would be just full of spoiled boys and girls who prance around flaunting their great wealth. But I have such great friends! They're the only people who understand me. My teachers are great too. They're VERY strict, but incredibly friendly. My favorite is Mrs. Woodstock. She's like another mother to me. And she's always there to give me great advice.
My friends Namelia and Lydia are great to be around. I love to play cards and plenty other games with them. Namelia is very sweet and earnest, and tries her best to please everybody. She always says "Just because I'm a princess doesn't mean I have to boss everyone around." But Lydia is the exact opposite. She's very energetic and fun to be around, be she's extremely sharp-tongued. EXTREMELY. She is very bossy and sometimes treats me like I was her maid! But she's kind deep down. She just doesn't like showing it.
